In 1998, my 17-year-old Daughter borrowed my car, since Hers was in the shop. When She came home, She looked at me in disgust and said sarcastically, “Thanks a lot, Dad!” I said, “For what? What did I do?” She said, “You had your CD player on with “Gallows Pole” from the “No Quarter” album playing when I started your car. I must have played it ten times!” My Daughter has been a Led Zeppelin fan ever since!👍🏻😉😀
Saw this tour in London with my best pal. Was so blown away we went back the next night and bought tout tickets outside about 5 mins after the show started for next to nothing-we got right to the very front. What a night.
That bass is ON POINT!!! When it kicks in at 1:27 this goes to ANOTHER level. This is a helluva version and the musicianship has to be seen to be believed.
When I die and I'm 62 and immobile in bed for 3 years, having operated on cancer 5 years ago, I only want this version to play, even on my cell phone. I don't want other brass music. Testamentary. I play guitar 51years.
From the wonderful pre cusor rock album to the no name IV album. Music history in my oplinion. This bands music will still be playing in a hundred plus years.
What is an amazing song both here and on the album by my favorite part of this performance is the drummer. That guy just has all the energy in the world and he shows it.
Seems like (almost) every drummer that filled in for Bonzo either met tragedy or suffered in decline later on. You can guess who they are, with the exception of his son.
Great version actuality had just about all the instruments from the original but missing a big part john Paul Jones. They ignore that man too much. Multi instruments song writing most people just forget about him. Everyone just disrespects that man

What a great story! Thanks for sharing! I was 17 years old in 1998, too!
Actually it was a village people CD in the car, and the song was YMCA

I love how Robert gets really into it when the chorus pick up. Love it
Better than the original version
Agreed!!
No really but good nonetheless.
Took me over 20 years but I'm starting to think you're right
I don't know. This is really good, but Leadbelly is just so damn good. I can't decide.
This is the absolute best version of this song
Love Robert's face @ 2:12, he's like "fuck me this sounds good" 🤣
😂😂😂
Best version ever!
Aaah. Finally!!! My fav version !!!
this is really incredible music and energy .... the more you listen the more you feel such energy and passion
!! Great and incredible
The amount of strings in this performance is friggin impressive. All meshing perfectly.
So many strings for just one rope.
Love the Hurdy Gurdy in the song!
Oh Yeah!
I wet my pants when the drums kick in.
That bass is ON POINT!!!

That was awesome! One of my many favorites.

Perfection perfection only perfection!
I was learning how to play when this was on MTV Life changing
Thank you for sharing!
Classic made into another

Wonderful track!
And they are including a guy playing a hurdy gurdy!
God bless you gentlemen.
Yea baby. That's what I'm talking about.
just came to watch Pearl Thompson
Sublime
Best of led Zeppelin acoustic
Not led zeppelin or what's left no John Paul Jones
Oi galera muito massa o som led ,beteu até 1 saudade da época da MTV pois eu curtia muito os clipes e shows deles.
The greatest band of all time.
Hard to argue against that😂...unreal
Groovy Baby Northern U S A 10-4

Still sucks that they love JPJ out of this
A triumph
Dang, I didn't know Michael had died. He nailed this performance. Great moment here 2:18 with him and Page exchanging glances.
Who is Micheal?
@@tompatchak8706 The drummer. Jason Bonham's son.
@@BlueToronto oh no kidding? Dang. That young man is my favorite part of this.
Shit
@@BlueToronto wait. Go back. I think you mean Johns brother.
According to Wikipedia, Jason has a son named Jager
The drummer is named Micheal, hung out with Page and Plant and did, in fact pass(in 08) but that is not Jason Bonhan’s son
From The Movie Soundtrack "Bandits."
AWESOME SONG!!!... but... dark lyrics lol... really dark 🤣
Somebody please tell me how is called the freaking instrument with the lever played by the guy to the left. And pardon my ignorance
It's called a "hurdy-gurdy". ;)
Aww, good to see Jimmy before he turned into Gandolf the Grey...
Imagine being HUNG over money?😂
Great version actuality had just about all the instruments from the original but missing a big part john Paul Jones. They ignore that man too much. Multi instruments song writing most people just forget about him. Everyone just disrespects that man
God bless Michael Lee, the best drummer LZ ever had...
Agreed. No disrespect to Jason but he was the real deal.
Cant touch Bonzo. So I disagree with your statement.
Aside from the GOAT, John Bonham, of course. Michael Lee has the passion and chops, for sure. It makes me sad to watch him play.
This is not led zeppelin there's no John Paul Jones
I don't believe
The drums 🤌🏻 I know it’s not Bonzo🤝🏼
