Only KG is speaking realistically, Flex & Owen are speaking hypothetical scenarios, that INEO will get a better manager(not guaranteed) that INEOS will sell majority of the players(not guaranteed) that the new manager will perform well even if he’s a top manager(not guaranteed cos we have seen top managers fail at Manchester United) that the new players will perform(not guaranteed cos we have seen world class players crumble at Manchester United.
    .
KG is simply saying: we have seen Ten Hag’s body of work at Ajax and 1st season at Manchester United which are fantastic, He can’t turn to a bad manager over night in one season, therefore let’s give him time to work his way out of it in the summer, like Arteta, Klopp and others. Manchester United is a different beast, it will take longer time to implement your system here than it will take you at Spurs, Arsenal, Aston Villa etc.
    .
Finally INEOS has no evidence of success in football, trusting them is like trusting an intern to run your business. Nice has been a massive failure.

I’m with KG on this one Ten Hag’s contract runs out in the summer of 2025 so why not give him 1 more season and if it doesnt work out, he leaves for free. For me yes the manager has to do better but the main problem is the players. Give ten hag a back line that can play at the half way line, give ten hag a CDM that can retain the ball and ten hag will cook.

“Tear it all up” is not a real measure. “Get rid” is useless. If our managers are not allowed to end outside top 4 we will never have a serious rebuild. We will have 30 years of Liverpool style top 4 football without winning the league.
One other thing: Ten Hag is teaching a front 6 to play attacking football, without the defense capable enough to close the gap in midfield. Because if he had to adapt and play Jose ball because he has the defenders for it, he’d just waste a year of development, or worse: program his attackers to play the opposite style only to flip that entire script after that. A REBUILD IS NOT ABOUT RESULTS.

    • @Press_Resistant

@@Press_Resistant more like logic resistant. 😂 sorry I couldn’t resist. I’m not saying he won’t be sacked. I don’t know how strong the balls on Sir Jim are. I’m also not denying it’s a results based business. I’m saying in order to achieve LONG term results, you must sacrifice SHORT term results. If you can’t do that, you’re in Limbo forever. If you’ve supported United in the last 10 years, you must know what that cycle looks like. You wanna know what “just words” sound like? How about “biggest club in the world” or “We’re United” or “high standards”. You think you know what you’re seeing. But you don’t even know what you’re not seeing. I can’t expect you to. It’s a matter of top level experience in sports, investment and business development. I’m not even saying that I know exactly what’s wrong exactly and what should be done. My only point was that the proposed measures by reactionary pundits like Flex, bless him, are not helpful.

@@NextChapterRapper I understand what you are saying. All I am saying is that there would come a time when the patience will run out with ETH if results dont change. • @NextChapterRapper
      @NextChapterRapper Před 2 měsíci +1

@@Press_Resistant oh yeah, he’s also developing himself and his coaching staff. Of course. Im not at all saying it’s all about the players, no way. In fact, much like ten Hag, a lot of these are ALSO better than we’re seeing. The Flex or KG way to see this is about SOMEONE has to be blamed. I disagree with that entire premise. When a club is in ruins like we have been, there are so many things to blame that you have to start at the top and we finally have. From the hierarchy now being worked on we should slowly analyse how that is improving reality on the pitch. Don’t underestimate that. A few sharp transfers, a new medical team, a tweak in the footballing vision, in the coaching program, all things that can exponentially improve us when systematically implemented and sustained.
Then once that had created the necessary improvement, ONLY THEN can you even START the clock for Erik. Because it’s only then when his development of his staff and players will be sustainable and therefor also have the effect of exponential improvement. After 3 years of THAT, meaning about 4-5 years from NOW, you can truly see if Erik ten Hag is the right man for our future. Now hold on. I’m not EXPECTING that to happen. they will want to see out Erik’s contract to see if they can see the early signs of this process and THEN decide on wether they trust him to continue. Once they have they’re structure complete a year from now, they will have a clear profile of manager and player that the hierarchy agrees on, and they will consider fan outrage, the mood in the camp and the alternatives in the market to decide if Erik is their guy. But now, it’s a nonsense to sack him. Because if you think forcing Erik to play Jose ball now, is what this club needs, just so we can draw with Liverpool again, you’re thinking about appeasing fans on the short term and not developing our football on the long term. The truth is we were VERY unlucky Thursday. A pen that was no pen and a couple of individual mistakes lost us that game. If you think Erik instructed Dalot to go travel across the entire pitch in the dying embers, I have some magic beans to sell you. I understand the emotional response, but I have to push back on it. Because it will keep us in a cycle instead of elevate us above the recent ruins.

Pep, Arteta, Klop. All been allowed to clear out the bad eggs and underperforming players from previous managers and bring in their own players to suit their system. Yes all of his signings haven’t been perfect but who’s are? Working under a Glazer regime where you get given your 5th/6th choice player your hit rate is going to be seriously reduced. This manager had not even had 2 years and tbh he’s got us a trophy in the cabinet, not a bad league position and is evidently developing youth players like mainoo and Garnacho. We need to have the patience and understand it isn’t a quick fix and it’ll probably get worse before it gets better. Allow the manager to sell who he wants and then let’s call for him to be sacked if it goes south.

The ETH out people clearly don’t remember the history of the club. Go back and look at the first six seasons under Ferguson. He got second in his first season then eleventh the next year, and after the third season people were calling for him to be sacked. He was allowed extra time, he brought through the class of 92, signed Cantona and the rest is history. The greatest manager of all time needed the right players to find success.
ETH has brought through some real gems in the academy in Garnacho and Mainoo. Over the next few years we could be seeing players like Fernendes, Lacy, and a couple others getting their chances. The club needs to a supplement that with a few quality signings, and replace mctominay, rashford, Maguire, casemiro, varane, and Shaw. If this happens there is a real chance of finding success again in the future. If ETH is sacked right now the club will just be repeating the same mistakes of the last decade.

The players are the once kicking the ball are u telling me the players couldn’t wast time for 3 mins and hold the win? Even if it got them a yellow card? The pattern has been when managers speak to them week in and week out the players don’t listen and when they gets benched is a hot topic on social media and news outlets, tenhag has tried everything The players don’t do it, the camera showed ten hag shouting, keep the ball, be calm but the players where not doing anything. We all have to wake up and hold ourselves accountable for pushing all these managers out of the club without giving them time to fix their mistakes. On like many of us if Ineos sake ten hag it will be the biggest mistake. Another manager will come and undo what ten hag has built and that will take another 2 seasons to start getting a team together and when he can’t win anything will u and the rest of them have that patience to give him time? They want the success like city and pretty football but aren’t willing to go through the process of regressing first to move forward. I do not believe these footballers on the contracts theyre on have the hungry to adapt to the playing style. There is a reason why Ragnick said sign players on their first or second contract! Casing point is Bruno when he was signed he was at top of his game, goal and assist galore etc etc etc , then he signed a new contract and look his performances now. They use spurs as an example , we must understand the real spurs was when Poch was there, all the manager since Poch have been pragmatic managers that’s why they were bad for conte and mourinho, the ange football is spurs recent footballing philosophy that’s why they’re playing the way they are under ange.
I agree with KG we must face the hardship to enjoy the success, Flex and Owen were singing and dancing when ETH was coming to the degree that they went to Holland to watch his Ajax team and the first sign of difficulty they crumble and I have no doubt they’ll be back in 18 months asking for the new coach sacked a leopard never changes their spot.

The players literally shit the bed.
When we stay compact and defend “that’s not the man united way”
When we press and concede from the cutback we complain.
Look at bruno’s goal v chelsea. That’s an exact pattern we’ve been applying every game since last season. Patterns are there. Tactics need fixing but I can give a manager another 6 months instead of getting a new idiot in

Jose said no structure , ole said same , raignik said open heart surgery , manager firing is constant can we try once changing player first than manager give him fair chance style without his player how can he implement, his style is different sit back nd hold is simple to implement hence u can do with normal player hut pep style only with right player same ten hag style with right player give him time 42:42 42:43 42:43

They Keep talking about the volume of shots conceded as justification as lack of tactics.... am i wrong or did De Gea not get golden glove last year.... he know what he doing he know what he want ls... we are just having a shit season.... every team has them (not city) liverpool last season... everyone was saying "Klopp is done" "7 year curse".... no one extped arsenal to jump from 5th to title contenders.... nor was they showing it

Volume of shots skyrocketing than before means the opponent teams is getting to our box much easily and getting through our midfield easily....so the question is it's the manager's fault or the players? Both can be true....you may not see the progression of the Arsenal team but many others can see that arteta wants to play possession based football from his transfer. And only delusional fans thought that klop was finished last season...how can a manager be finished after almost winning a quadruple one season before?

@tuanmohdarfantuankhusairry2977 partly manger for letting Fred go.... but he cant predict casemerio will fall of a cliff... or amrabat will be this shit... OUR midfield is not balanced, which is causing us issues.... my point against arsenal was not there style of play but more that they went from 5th to title challengers amd no one saw it coming... so why can't we have faith Ten Hag Can change this round... give him one more season

It's not going to excuse any sloppiness or nervousness/ panicked defending that ultimately is the main reason for this defeat, but it has to be said the officiating was unusual to say the least. Brentford is more understandable because they had the momentum in the game. This was just a mad 2-minute implosion like we've seen in games when we get hammered. But we actually deserved to beat Chelsea and we were beating them 9 minutes into the supposed 8 minutes that were added on. Soft penalties aside the ref helped Chelsea a LOT. The last goal went in on 111 minutes. We are struggling with injuries.
In any other season this kind of game would only have 2 talking points- the ref /VAR and possibly the form of Antony because he hurt Chelsea.
We have to beat Liverpool now.

Lack of game intelligence and mentality is why they lost yesterday
Otherwise no physical presence in midfield and get bullied by bigger, stronger teams, only flashes of individual brilliance is what we see with United

@@incognito96this is actually revisionism. Most people claiming they could see what Arteta was doing 3-4 years ago are lying. If you go watch fan debates from back then you’ll see arsenal fans saying all the same things we are saying now. They said he was tactically inept, they said he couldn’t manage at a big club, they said his in game management was poor, they said his tactics were so naive. I personally looked last night through arsenal fan content from over the last 3 years and the similarities between their fan complaints and ours are uncanny

@@niiadoteysackar3140just because old arsenal fans fail to see that arteta wants to play possession based football doesn't mean that other can't see it.....he only stop possession football against big team but if you actually trying to see what's he's doing in his second at arsenal while not perfect he stick by his principal and playing possession with the arsenal team that is not complete yet.... Arsenal fans may don't like that they don't get instant results but Others can see what's he's trying to do...and from what Ten Hag tactics this season, all I can see is Ole ball (counter attacking football).
