But in India, we refer both வேர்கடலை & நிலக்கடலை(I don't think both terms are different.) as groundnut, right? I used to have boiled groundnuts when I was a kid. No one reffered them as peanuts.
Dal/dhal is a Hindi word and not an English word. Use the word Gram instead of dal/dhal Black gram - உளுத்தம்பருப்பு Yellow gram - துவரம்பருப்பு Green gram - பாசி பருப்பு

Both are different process. Blanching is dropping the veggies in the boiled water(which is not on the flame) and let it sit in it for a while.
