Part of it is they hate wrestlers, but a lot of it is people love a big elite undefeated kind of guy like Jon Jones, and will hate on DC because they cheer for him. They hated how he played it safe and laid on Anderson Silva for their fight and wouldnt stand with him even though Silva went up in weight on short notice to save the fight.. DC was actually pretty well regarded up until that fight. I think a lot of it is they don't like that he's a good guy. It's "corny" to some people. They want a thug.

I think DC cuts a looooot of weight to make 205 and Stipe doesn't cut and weighs about 245 or something, so i'd say the weight difference is not really that huge.This is a fight i really want neither to lose, both great fighters and amazing human being.
He's about 230 but is carrying a lot more fat than Stipe, Stipe is lean at 245 so there is a decent size advantage.
I remember Big John revealing that DC weighed 236 in cage in the second Rumble fight which is absurd considering he gained 31 lbs in 36 hours. I wouldn't be surprised if he weighs more than Stipe for their fight.
Dc doesnt cut a whole lot for 205 its just that hes too old to cut it
Stipe's W.A.W. is around 245-255lbs., and DC's is in the 230s. Wouldn't be surprised is DC weighed in, in the early 40s, but DC always prides himself on being smaller so he can be faster, so we'll see.
100% agreed, I hate and like this matchup at this same time. But, I'd rather Stipe win and keep his streak going. No big deal if DC loses, legacy-wise, well... as long as he avoids CTE.

For the people who don't know MMA Daniel Cormier is a legend who fights guys who are much taller and sometimes bigger. He's a true respectful martial artist and is a good role model of MMA unlike the new wave of fake trash talkers going around

Also JDS is one of the best heavyweights of all time and stipe improved his game and came back and beat him. I used to hate DC lmao but dude really grown on me. One of my favs
