REVIEW: Frank Green Reusable Coffee Cup | A DEEP-DIVE Analysis

  • A detailed review of this popular eco product the Frank Green reusable coffee cup on everything from how it looks, the material, how easy it is to clean, whether it leaks to heat retention and more.
    *Update 6 months into using this: The ditch on the inside of the cup's lid (5:50) is pretty annoying to clean! I honestly have been using this cup most often as a lidless tumbler at home - the stainless steel edge is nice to drink from, and it keeps my drink warm longer than a regular mug.

    I love them so much. I have the plastic one. It feels like it has a silicone outer layer which feels nice to hold. I like the feel more than the steel (which if you are buying they call it ceramic). I also drop my cup a lot ...A.. LOT... and the plastic/silicone one just keeps going. I’ve had it for a few years now. It’s wonderful. I had the plastic drink bottle and the plastic spilt after I dropped it one too many times, but still impressed. This Australian summer I’m going to try the steel/ceramic. 🥰🥰🥰🌿

      Amazing so good to hear. Hahahah I drop my stuff a lot too 😂 yea I guess in that case the plastic version would be more durable. Hope you’ll like the steel ceramic version too when you get it!!

    Hi Gloria, I commend you on the quality of your review! Not so much the cup- I have a different brand that works great at a fraction of the price- but the quality of your review. Very well done and very enjoyable. Keep up the good work.

    Just got one of these as part of a coffee set and came here to see if anyone else was having the issue with a bit of coffee being left on the lid after each sip or if it was just me. In one way I'm glad to know it's not just me/I wasn't somehow drinking from it wrongly, but also it kinda sucks to see it appears to be a design flaw maybe. Shame as the rest of the cup is great. Guess I'll just have to drink with the lid off too XD (

    I was really sold on the mug but cleaning it seems tedious. I have a contigo mug that's called Glazed twistseal. The inside is ceramic and it's good if you're going to drink your coffee in the following 5 hours tops (i use it to take coffee from home to work, or just to drink it at home lmao).
    The thing is, it's big. I was looking for a comparable item but smaller to get coffee takeaway without a single use cup. I guess I'm not going to get this cup because my contigo mug is MUCH EASIER to clean. You don't need to take anything apart.

    I just received the Frank green ceramic lined mug for Christmas, and the ceramic coating has the most horrible smell. Is that normal, or did I get a wonky one? If it’s normal, does it eventually wash out?

    • @GloriaYu
      @GloriaYu  Před 3 lety +3

    Does it stay hot and for how long compared to a Yeti? Will it fit in a car cup holder.? Wil it fit under a K cup holder. Thank you.

    • @GloriaYu
      @GloriaYu  Před 3 lety +1

      I have had the cup fit in one cup holder and not another but for your reference the diameter of the 10oz frank green is 72mm or about 2.84in. Sorry I haven’t tried the yeti yet so can’t compare how long it stays long to that! It’s decent, but nothing compared to say a thermos for sure.

    Just wondering, does it burn your lips when you drink hot drinks without the lid on in ceramic/stainless steel cup?

    • @GloriaYu
      @GloriaYu  Před 3 lety

      I think it depends more on the temperature of the liquid? If it burns your lips without the lid, likely would be so too with the lid :)

      Hi! No if it’s closed tightly. But I would still be cautious about this as I think there is a risk with every reusable mug, especially if liquid is hot and that might affect pressure inside the mug 😅

    You got it wrong on one aspect: it’s not dishwasher safe.
    The lid is but the cup isn’t. Yea I know it sounds strange and stupid for such a product but you can confirm this on Frank Green website.
    Only the « original » version (which is all plastic) is dishwasher safe.
