I watched both reaves and hachimura during this series miss every single wide open 3 when they hesitated too long. Idk where that fear comes from, but you cant be successful in the nba if you are scared to miss an open shot, cause standing there for 3 seconds hesitating is 100% gonna brick.
And the nail in the coffin is the lakers inability to be aggressive with rebounds. One thing I did like about westbrook is his attacking of rebounds. Too many times this whole series and against the pelicans we saw a ball bounce off the rim, coming down in the middle of 3 lakers and not a single one of them jumped cause they assumed it would just land in their hands and someone dives and snatches it from them. Shit is embarrassing af

There was something the Lakers could have done and that was change assignments. Reaves is the worst defender on the team he should not have been guarding Murray in that situation. He should’ve been on the bench and Dinwiddie should have been in the game. That starts with the coach to know when and who to sub in and out in those situations. Also, Lakers missed crucial free throws in the 4th that may have cost them the game and those two offensive rebounds that Gordon got is what won the game.

If you look at net ratings (points scored vs points allowed) the nuggets are the best team in the NBA in the clutch. The Lakers are actually 9th. The Lakers have a better win/loss, but that means they either were ahead at the beginning of clutch time, or those games ended much closer.
