      There's nothing more distressing that sitting down across from a deck playing bad cards. Like, they wouldn't be playing that if there wasn't a good reason.

    Basilisk Collar would be pretty fun in this deck

  • @Volvary
    @Volvary Před 8 lety +4

    A sideboard card that could had been good would had been a few Basilisk Collar to deal with big creatures. Also, as dumb as it seems, you need to side out Hidetsugu after you used it because they will board for it.

    Going against a burn deck and saying "well the good news is if we can get them to 10, they probably don't have a good way of beating hidetsugu's second rite".
    o.O? They play almost all direct damage instant speed effects. I think it would be next to impossible to successfully kill them with hidetsugu.

  • @COZYTW
    @COZYTW Před 7 lety +1

    Someone clarify this for me, mana abilities can trigger even when Angel's Grace is on the stack, right?
    Would Seth be able to kill the Ad Nauseum player at 37:54 by sacrificing another creature if he had a Rusalka + extra mana on the board?

    • @Diotialate
      @Diotialate Před 7 lety +1

      I can answer your question: "Almost always yes."
      The 3 speeds in Magic,from fastest to slowest are: Mana Source > Interrupts > Instants. Mana Source (i.e. Dark Ritual from Mirage, but now it's just Llanowar Elves and co.) > Interrupts (I.E. Counterspell from Revised, but now it's just Split Second) > Instants (most everything, called "The Stack." Sacrifice is "interrupt" speed
      Therefore, you can tap lands, sacrifice Brindleboar to gain life, and tap Birds of Paradise in response to Split Second.
      Note: If the mana came from Ley Druid, Argothian Elder, or Arbor Elf, it's actually too slow and the answer is "no."

      @PeteDoesGames Před 8 lety

    • @valdemarjrgensen8072
      @valdemarjrgensen8072 Před 8 lety

      +Ic3dsoul Spellskite can target any spell, doesn't matter if the spell can target spellskite. You can also target the same spell several times, which is good to know when you play mindslaver :p

      @jin11779933 Před 8 lety

      They are correct. Even though Spellskite is not a legal target, you can activate his ability. It won't change the target of the original spell as a result, but in this case, that doesn't matter. You can activate it any number of times needed to reduce your life total below 10, resulting in the spell having no effect.
