Of course you are. You don't have to like the result, but experience comes with doing. I'll bet your florals are much better than you think.
Mistakes are your greatest teacher - the more mistakes you make the more you learn. If you don’t try it you will never progress.

They really are great paints! I've got the 24 pan and am enjoying it a lot! Also if you're in Canada and you have access to DeSerres, they carry the same but for less :) I would send a link, but they only have up to the 24 pan online!
