The unstoppable electoral growth of "Alternative for Germany" has naturally meant that its proposals are beginning to be taken seriously. According to the polls it is already the second largest political group in Germany and the issue is that its leader has described the European Union as a failed project. In this video we tell you about the rise of the extreme right in #Germany and how this could endanger the #EU.

It is not a suitable topic in Britain. Many topics are not if you live there. But particularly this one as immigration got totally out of control after brexit. It's sometimes called the small boats(dinghies) problem but in reality it is a well funded mini invasion similar to those in other parts of the world....

As a german, I can tell you there are exactly two reasons why people here vote for the AfD:
    1. Disappointment in the established partys. Many are fed up with the status quo, which basically consists of two parties taking turns in governing (SPD and CDU) with frequent corruption scandals, misuse of government funding and horrible economical decisions.
    2. Problems with migration. Germany has had problems with migration ever since the 60s, when parallel societies started to form in bigger cities, but it really got bad when the refugee crisis started to hit in 2015. We had 34 knife attacks each day last year. You hear these outrageous storys of gang rapes and attacks every day and benefit fraud is rampant.
The truth is, many germans just have enough of these two things and are even aware of the bad sides of the AfD. They just want something to change, because something HAS to change. The way it looks now, germany is facing a long and slow decline which will already be hard to stop.

the decline of Germany is anything but slow and long. This country has already been completely given away to Islam. I can walk around for days around busy streets in my city without hearing a single word of German. All of the shops are Arabic and all the ad boards only feature either muslim or African people. In school 90%+ of the kids have a migration background. It´s Germany in name only at this point.

There's also former east Germany, they were practically annexed by the west, all the factories dismantled and sold. Their wishes were ignored and it's still largely poor, minus the few cities it has... It's a sad place, I don't blame them for being so unhappy... The DDR had its problems, but at least everyone had jobs, childcare was free etc... They got annexed, gained very little and lost what little good they had..
And that's the real heartland of AFD

The Quran claims that both the Torah and the Gospel are the word of God, but the Quran narrates a completeley different story and a different set of values. A bit scarey... I voted remain even though I don't like the way the EU's ruling executive sometimes acts. I don't agree with blaming immigrants for all ills but no country can take unlimited numbers of immigrants. Maybe the EU apparatchiks should have been more open to the requests the UK made to prevent the BREXIT referendum. Ironically the changes the UK asked for in the area of immigration are now more likely than ever in the EU. In respect to Germany and its political issues... They shouldn't have been so reliant on Russia for cheap gas. Germany's foreign policies have been 'basket case' in scale for decades. 'Mutti Merkal' should have known better as she started her career in the communist East.

I mostly agree, but the reliance on Russian gas was never a problem.
      The return to coal is.
The entire Ukraine conflict could have been solved diplomatically in 2014-2022 if the US wanted to.
Either way, the US made sure that Germany is now instead reliant on American LNG instead at triple the rate. Germany is still using gas, they're just hurting their economy while the Americans are counting their profits.
We've all been had and Germany is still fully backing the US like a battered housewife.
The US has managed to gaslight us into believing that we should hate the Russians, although there is really no reason to, while promoting weapons sales through fear and energy exports at a premium rate after they destroyed NordStream. And they _did_ destroy NordStream. Not the Russians, not Ukraine.
I'll make the argument for it if you're interested.
PS: I think that Putin is a piece of shit murderer, but he's not an irrational actor.

Why would we wanna do more to prevent a referendum? Doenst make any political sense. The UK had the best deal out of all member countries allready and still they left. Considering the money each country got per capita, the Eu member nations are actually better off now without the UK then before. The UK was massivly holding back the EU on multiple matters, prevented a common border policy with an EU police and border protection suitable to EU needs.
Since germany has almost na natural gas deposits, its only logical to turn to the nearest cheapest supplier, which was russia. The cheap energy germany got without having any sort of oil or gas on its own is one of the main reasons germanys eco got so strong again. Its the most robust in europe by far, considering its size and almost all other EU economies are tied to the german.
German foreign policy allowed for a peacefull reunification with east germany after the cold was and brought most of the former soviet states into the eurpean fold, with its human rights, wealth and stability.

Referring to the AFD as "far right" is a misstep in positioning. The German populace has demonstrated considerable patience despite notable government shortcomings, particularly in attempts to reshape the country's economic structure. Drawing parallels, the AFD can be likened to the CDU of the 1960s and 1970s. It's worth noting that every political party harbors internal factions. If the AFD is labeled as "extreme right," it's only fair to characterize the Greens and Socialists as "Bolsheviks."

It is the failure of traditional liberal parties to adress the needs of people that has brought about the birth of these new positions in politics. Most people, even in the US, are loathe to be in a military competition with Russia/China. The want a decent standard of living, education and job security. Across the West, the idea that what is good for big business is good for everyone has failed to provide a sustainable future for workers. The "forever wars" of the US have destabilized the globe, globalization has shipped good jobs out of the West, and identitiy politics have isolated large swathes of people. The destabilization of the globe will get worse. In the US, if Trump isn't arrested, he may very well win that election. If he does, the old order is likely to crumble.
