As a child, Flaybrick had all the majesty of Highgate Cemetery. Thank you for this prompt that it may time for me to visit again. Thank you and your tame mates for all your hard work.
I have seen photos from the early years and the place looked amazing. Just wish I could undo some of the damage to the headstones. I believe during ww2 the parachute bombs did a bit of damage but vandals also. It's an amazing book of Birkenhead history, set in stone! You really must visit
@@jaynephennah53 wen you look and see the head stones which says killed on the titanic the submarine that was lost in the river Merseyside killed in the zulu war you think that the history in here and we walk passed many at time and not noticed
Can I ask you a question, do you have a map of the cemetery, I have one which divides it up into sections, my grandmother is buried in the Roman Catholic section RC6, and I have the reference number of the grave, but because all the headstones have gone I cannot locate the actual grave, are there any plans available showing the location of graves? thanks!
I will ask the sexton on Wednesday when he is back in work. He should have the plans. The grave should have a marker stone with the number on it. Or if he hasn't an idea, I will get in touch with one of the friends of Flaybrick as they can normally find the plot
@@jaynephennah53 thanks! I know the grave number, it is RC6/324, but with no headstones it is hard to locate on the ground! The "Friends of Flaybrick" helped me find it but they don't seem to have a detailed grave map
or I should say that I didn't specifically ask them for a map, I just checked their website. I don't want to trouble you so I will email them and ask them for the map

Well done team Flaybrick MUM.
A long forgotten resting place! Shame about the vandalism.
There is some history in flay brick and some famous people who are buried or named on head stones
It's amazing to read their story on their headstones. The people buried here are legends
