For a G+2 floors in coastal florida with high humidity and heat with each floor of 3000K sq Feet what do you think of a hybrid VRF (like Mitsubishi or Daiken) with zender Air handler.. is that a good set up? or do you think there is better product than that
I have no idea what is VRF. From this video I learned that this is stand alone system. Is there a separate controller for heat pump and indoor unit? is it possible to connect to Bacnet BAS? For indoor, BACnet can be in the thermostat? For outdoor unit, is there a controller?
No. This sounds like the simpler heat pump system you have installed. It would be a two pipe system utilizing Y's for branches. The Heat recover system is the one where it also has a 3rd pipe for the hot discharge gas to enter the building to which it would then have to go diverter box's to the indoor units to change flow from the cool vapor return or the hot discharge for simultaneous heating and cooling.
