really digging the sense of speed in this game. 200-250 already looks quite terrifying to me, wich is not the case in most racing games

I like that the city is big, you can feel it right. This is the first game where you are in a city and not in a neighborhood. I hope the game will be good.

Yes you are right, I've been waiting for this game for so long. But I've only been playing for a couple of days as I was not feeling well when the demo got released out of the blue. I like it so far. Just my kind of game. I wish they would fix the wheel FFB which was the most disappointing for me atleast.

Is there a traffic density setting? Looks almost as an abandoned city, could surely use some density to make it look more alive

It changes based on the time of day.
This is a PC only old demo build of the game not the final game. They said it will be similar to real life certain parts of the map will have more traffic than others and at certain times of the day it will increase and decrease. So depending on the location you are on the map like highways and downtown city will have more traffic mid day. The countryside and little villages will be more scarce in traffic. Closer to midnight the city will have less traffic and it will increase the closer to rush hour time mid day.

Nice gameplay! Is it possible to get rid of some HUD elements, especially the "clean driving" thing?
I guess you can get rid of it all, but personally I wouldn't get rid of the "clean driving thing", as you said.
It's called F.R.I.M. (Free Ride Instant Money). As the name suggests, I gives you money depending of how you drive (if you drive cleanly, fast, if you drift, if you slalom between vehicles, etc.). If you crash or if you stop making action that fuel the F.R.I.M. bar, it sets back to zero. The higher the F.R.I.M. level, the more money you get (and don't forget to bank the money manually, because it won't do it automatically).
In summary, it's an easy way to make quick buck.
I mean you get money from that it’s not just telling you that you’re driving clean it’s giving you money so you could be driving for hours and losing out on money because you turned it off you lose it if you don’t cash it in because if you crash it’s all gone but I guess if you’re rich you don’t care anyways
Thanks, it would totally annoy me. But anyway after a deeper look into it, it looks like the graphics are from 2010 and physics right off the arcade. Remembered myself The Crew Motorfest. This looks like the more realistic open world game i'll play instead.

The game is not released yet this a old demo build of the game for PC only. The actual game comes out this year September 12 and it’s available for preorder. This game is not like Forza Horizon it’s in its own genre it focuses on smaller details like hazard lights, turn signals and rolling windows up and down etc.
If I had to describe it the game is closer to GTA than Forza Horizon. It’s a mix between GTA, Gran Turismo and Forza Horizon. If you ever wanted a GTA game strictly for car enthusiast this is the game. It just has simcade handling and no extreme violence like getting blowed up or shot up. It’s focused completely on cars it’s like a millionaire simulator for car enthusiast.
You can go to nightclubs and have your own high rise condo with your own garage. The game has actual car dealerships. You can walk in and and buy your car or test drive it first if you don’t want to buy it right away. The TDU franchise is known for replicating real life map locations on a 1:1 scale. So however long it takes to get to a location in real it’s going to be the same distance in game.

I'm about 20hrs in. Got around 8 cars. I'd say it's not that hard to earn money. Definitly much more harder when compared to say Forza, but this is much different game. And I do like this way tbh. It feels like you earned it and buying cars feel more special.
@@Xpertgamingtech Thats for sure, but on this way its way harder to get everything and its harder to get a lot of content out of this game, but yeah, ih guess its cooler on this way than in forza :)

The city looks great except missing for the pedestrian. HK is full of people basically u can see anywhere people around. If they simulate that would be excellent

Hello! I have the same steering wheel and for myself I realized that it is most comfortable to play at 360 degrees. it is sad. It feels like the game is made to be played on a gamepad. I really hope that they will make a full-fledged game on the steering wheel with gearbox
You can do 900, just increase the sensitivity for turn left and right both, maybe around 1.8x. It's still weird and not that realistic. Hopefully the devs work on this for the final release.

I like it so far. Disappointed in some aspects like wheel ffb, which hopefully they improve on it. Gameplay wise I think they should bring back some of the challenges from TDU2, or something different other than just racing/time attack. Overall I think it's gonna be a great game when it releases.

driving model seems a lot more palatable after seeing this. A little more body roll and a looser camera would go a long way here. NFS still wins in visuals at this stage

Just tried the demo myself, disappointed, the wheel physics aren't good enough and the cockpit view is bad. I was really hoping it would be decent, I like the map which is city based, this is what fh6 needs, but with sub par wheel play it's a no for me, hopefully they improve on it before official release

Car models are just not up to par with 2024
Forza seems the only game to ever get driving physics almost perfect, the drifts ect... in that game are as close as you will get to irl driving physics imho.
If cars handled like Forza irl, road accidents would quadruple yearly.

@@kak8895 I agree with this, if simply turning the wheel even slightly makes your car drift then everybody will need to take lessons. FH physics are far perfect (no simulation can be) but they're also far from being realistic.

And if we also consider the "always online" part, i'm pretty sure i'll never buy this game.
Physics are more towards simcade side, not arcade
