Bang & Olufsen fans, your journey starts here! Steve from Sounds Heavenly takes up the challenge to upgrade the looks of a 25 year old Bang and Olufsen Beolab 8000 speaker in less than 5 minutes, making it a perfect match for B&O's new product range in 2020..........
Please add a comment to say which of the three options mentioned in the video Steve should choose!
Video update: A better way to remove the speaker covers is to push the edge of the cover in while prying on the sides. There is a bit of foam on the right and left side of the Beolab 8000s which acts as a spring to hold the cover in place. If you press on the cover, you compress the foam. This means you don’t even hear the click when removing the covers - please see here for full instructions: forum.beoworld.org/forums/p/4...
When he is not messing around with old speakers, Steve can usually be found in the cable workshop, making the cables that connect Bang and Olufsen products together. If you have any questions about how to connect your B&O speakers, please contact Steve at soundsheavenly.com for friendly advice and lots of good ideas.

Another thing to consider. If you have vintage B&O systems with rosewood or Teak trim, or if you have one or more of those beautiful rosewood or teak audio cabinets, you may want to consider staining wood fret slats on of those colors to match what you already have. I have 3 rosewood cabinets placed side by side with a teak cabinet on top so I could go either way. I have both color stains as well.

I'd have to say mate on a personal level I'd stick to the amazing design of the original look with the black mess. I love the wood finish however it takes away the iconic look of these beautiful speakers. Just to add in my opinion there is nothing that looks better with the polished aluminium then black.
