I wore my Milgauss to an event recently where a few other people had Rolex watches. I had no idea it was discontinued! The Z-Blue Milgauss is one of the best watches Rolex has! It's certainly one of the only ones with color that it has. Making changes to a model certainly would make it a new model, but why would they ditch the Milgauss name entirely?
I think the name Milgauss will return with a new model in a few years. It's been discontinued in the past, only to return later. Keep wearing it. It's not your typical Rolex, and you won't see it on everyone else's wrist.
What does it mean to have antiquated technology in a mechanical watch? Like owning a sailing boat, or a horse, or a historic car, isn't the experience of the technology in question rather the point of the whole exercise? Beautiful and passionate video as always - thank you.
@S C I have never seen any video that even remotely conveys the wearing experience of the sheer mass and solidity of the watch. Nor have I seen any video that illustrates how in real life the brutalist-deco case design communicates that experience of mass and solidity visually, at every glance of the watch form. Nor have I seen any video illustrate the intense and sublime Tron like green edge lighting effect that happens when the watch is backlit by a sunbeam. That is one of those real life experiences that looks so striking and so geometrically and chromaticly pure, that it looks like a Hollywood special effect somehow managed to manifest on one,'s wrist. Then there is the Z-Blue sunburst and its interplay with the GV. Amazing wearing experience.
Another beautiful and thoughtful video. Really like the mix of cars, driving and watches. I also enjoy my Milgauss. Hope you get your 5212 and/or 5226 soon and looking forward to those videos.
Another great video the new gmt is. Stunning I’ve asked for the green dial skydweller and the 70 th anniversary green dial sub. Slightly lighter than the cermit the bubble dial op is very interesting as a collection piece. The watch market is very interesting at the moment
Great watch. Good video buddy. Really wanted to add this to my collection and buy the "update" version..but never came lol...hopefully in 2026 they will bring it back. I honestly didn't like anything from Patek this year. Do you like bmw grill design these days, I prefer the "old" look ones. I think new ones are horrendous. 6 and 8...maybe 2 are still more like old ones thankfully. Chat soon boss
Milguass will eventually return, I just don’t know when. I wasn’t too interested in any new Patek either. I would still like a 5226 from last year. I still like the X2-X7 designs. They are pushing boundaries, but not off the rails yet. They still need to stay slightly conservative to prevent returning customers from bailing ship… But the electric versions are borderline psychedelic.
Hahahaha. But it’s not really discontinued, I bet. I think it will come back refreshed in no time at all. Since I own one, I hope it doesn’t come back but I bet it will.
Yeah, there’s alway another Milgauss anniversary coming up, and another chance to re-introduce it. Rolex owns the name Milgauss, so I don’t think they would throw it away.
@@ALLinHerMovements Wow. Great news. AP, Explorer, Milgauss, BLNR,…AND BLRO! I assumed you were thinking about getting a 5 digit Pepsi. I didn’t realize you were after the ceramic. And in a new location without a huge purchase history. You are one Persuasive Lady! Want to see the video!
@@sc1 HA, no I’m not that persuasive. This is from one of my old ADs back East. I’ve been on the list for almost two years and I thought it would never happen now that I’ve moved but they are still willing to work with me. I’m really surprised it’s happening. I figured I would just get a 5 digit soon instead.
Congratulations, anyway. I’m glad they would still honor an out-of-state client. I’ve heard several anecdotes of getting ‘The Call’, one or two years later, out of the blue. That’s hope for the rest of us. That happened with my Milgauss. Hopefully my Patek AD will do this too.
First Rolex that caught my eye and second one to enter the collection...hard to beat the blue dial+green glass+orange bolt combination🔵🟢🟠

The wearing experience on this watch STILL holds up VERY well!

thanks, I’ll be checking back with my Patek AD this summer
The lighting bolt makes this the Harry Potter watch.
Just found your channel ! Your videos are beautiful, many thanks for all the effort your put in them! Cheers
Many thanks!

is there a new submariner released? I haven’t seen it
Absolutely beautiful blue dial
Great video S C, but you must clean your car :)
Agreed. 😔 Both need a good wash and interior clean up.

They will bring it back after Rolex go META certified.
good point. maybe so
On top of that increase to 10 000 gaus, with the same new case like the new air king with crown protection and upgrade mouvement
As an engineer... i need a date. And to reduce conductivity, titanium. And a diver bezel for timing.
But that's the Yacht-Master...
I see your meaning(s). I had to read it a couple of times…😏

🤣😂🤣👍
Defintely overdue.
it’s outdated in comparison to the current Rolex line-up. from now on it will be considered a “retro” watch.
@@sc1 or simply forgotten 😜
Not by me! 😍👍😎
nice watch, but u need better cars too
?Better cars. But my X3 m40i was already over $60K
@@sc1 dam buddy, u overpaid and didnt even get a real M
Yeah it's for the best. This is one ugly watch! 🙈
Also, with all these purchases, I would say you're in a position to tell your AD that the Daytona is next or you'll buy elsewhere...
In 2015 i was in a position to buy any rolex as they were in stock, milgauss stud out so i bought it 👍
