- Well, there goes my 2023 budget! Rektangular got all the scoops over on his channel and here I am to add my own little melody to the information. Enjoy hearing my take on every Marvel Legend slated for 2023 and then go on over to his channel to give credit where it's due!

The Captain Marvel / Doctor Doom 2 pack. Also with the addition of Molecule Man being in the leaks. Could be the beginning of a Secret Wars series. The original mini series will turn 40 in 2024. So Monica in her 80's outfit. Then a new Doom in the armor he wore after he beat the Beyonder. That was also what the Doom figure from the Mattel Secret Wars line had. Member Berries 🍇

I thought the same re: Doom and Monica Rambeau. Doom stole power from Galactus's world ship, that the planet eater was going to devour, to fight the Beyonder. Von Doom then froze Capt Marvel as a hologram.
I loved the original Secret Wars.

I knew they were going to release unmasked versions of the three Spider-Man. That's why I didn't even think about the Hasbro three pack. I'm getting the Tobey and Andrew S.H. Figuarts as I already have current MCU Spider-Man from that line.

Vertigo was originally one of the Savage land mutates but she is prominently a Marauder , a team I really want to build. Zero is an android from the future that works for Stryfe and serves a teleporter for the Mutant Liberation Front. So he has a strong connection to Cable and X-Force.

I'm pretty sure it's gonna be a comics Egghead considering Egghead made his incredibly brief appearance in Ant-Man and The Wasp as the father of Ghost. That was Egghead. Which...I really hated. So unless they pull some shenanigans, I'm expecting it to the comics version. Which I would love!

And who knows, Crossfire might also be a villain in the film. So this could actually be a full MCU wave. Did any other wave of 2023 mix in comics figures with MCU figures? Nah, I don't remember everything.

I do feel a tiny bit bad for Hasbro because most of their Marvel Legends surprises were ruined for the upcoming year.
So who do I want from what was leaked? TV Kingpin, MCU Nick Fury, Black Knight and Sersi (Eternal and former Avenger), Molecule Man, Wonder Man, Astonishing Emma Frost (Finally!), Monet, Chamber (might end up getting the wave), Stryfe, Random (ok, that bloody five-pack, but more for those two) and most of all BLOB! Actually, more than anything, a Marvel Knights Daredevil in his red suit (even though it's not confirmed).
Maybes would be Karnak, Noh-var, Movie Guardians of the Galaxy, Super Adaptoid, Baron Von Strucker, Destroyer and Thor (but not for Thor)
Argh, might cost me a bundle in 2023 especially with the jacked-up prices.

Sadly you know on the Spider-Man: NWH wave. That Hasbro is probably going to release the Tobey, Andrew, and Tom without Spider-Man heads. So we end up having to buy both the 3 pack, and the singles so we can have them masked and unmasked.

David in the 80's Secret wars story Dr Doom turns Captain marvel (photon) into a living hologram, that might be the connection for the two pack. I'm only interested in the molecule man, the photon and doom two pack and Corsair. I'm not a Spiderman fan so all these constant Spiderman releases are easy passes for me. I'll get the X men waves.

The one that has me the most hyped here is Hawkeye, since the retro release is super expensive and I don't entirely vibe with the Allfather design. He needs a new headsculpt, maybe a bow with an actual string a la ToyBiz, and hopefully we eventually get a classic Mockingbird to pair up with him

Anyway I decided to rewatch the video and then give my thoughts on the leaks that really interest me:
Quantumania wave
Egghead is kind of a fitting choice, he was Hank Pym's main rival for some time, he even led the 3rd Master's of Evil, before he was killed off, Crossfire is a villain for Scott Lang and he was a member of the hood's crime syndicate so he'll probably go there. As for Ultron, odd choice, maybe it's Comic AOU Ultron?
The Marvel's:
Only care for Noh-Varr.
I'm skipping both the Disney+ and GOTG waves, only getting What If? Gamora.
Also skipping the best of the MCU wave, might get Nick Fury tho.
NWH wave:
Tempted for the whole wave, especially Goblin and Doctor Octopus.
Spider-Verse wave:
Getting 2099, thats it.
Hawkeye with Sky-Cycle has my interest.
Doctor Doom and Monica two pack, need both of them.
Super-Adaptoid also sounds cool.
Thor and Destroyer two pack is a definite.
Avengers wave:
Molecule man is a maybe, same with Wonder Man and the orb. But Baron Von Strucker? Yes.
Spider-man wave:
Jessica Drew, im hoping it's classic version. Rose is needed and Tarantula is a definite buy.
Deluxe Blob is a long time coming.
I also heard, not confirmed, that there might be A mega Deluxe Shuma Gorath and a ITSV Peni Parker and SP1DER, which im hoping is real because Shuma Gorath would look great next to a Galactus or Dormmamu.

I for one am so hyped for the 2023 Marvel Legends. A lot of the figures announced I've had on my wish list for some time now: Classic Wonderman , Baron Von Strucker, deluxe Blob, The Rose, Tarantula, Bruce Banner, Corsair, etc. I want all the ML comic versions.

As enticing as most of this is, we’re still missing a classic Luke Cage and Iron Fist and a classic She-Hulk. I’m sure they’ll get to it eventually but it’s hard to wait in amongst the figures mostly absent of paint and accessories. It makes me afraid they won’t do them justice.

Outside of the cover to Uncanny 275 Storm never wore the blue and gold costume. She was in her proto-Lee era silver (yes it is silver) body suit with short hair.
It’s the basic X-uniform.
I suggested years ago (10+?) they do two packs with basic uniforms, one male, one female, with swap heads so we could army build extra characters. I think I first called this after the ToyBiz Logan/Forge and SHIELD agents 2pks?
Yeah it's kinda the generic go to look for new recruits. Joseph wore one when he briefly joined.
@@brainlock72 I understand it's the basic uniform but that specific Storm Head sculpt is when she cut her hair just after the Outback storyline concluded. That puts her specifically at Uncanny 274/275. The cover to 275 is in error as she's not in the training costume like the rest of the team in the book. I'll bet they'll leave off Gambit's coat when they make his version too, because he's without it on the cover but not inside.

As neat as a lot of this seems, the cynic in me can’t help but feel like it sounds like a list of Hasbro’s excuses to upcharge us all to heck. Especially with that 60th anniversary line. I guarantee the Hawkeye Cycle set will be at least 60-70, Bruce and Hulk will be 80-100, and Thor and Destroyer will definitely be at least 90 bucks if not 110. Also can’t wait for the overwhelming majority of them to be Pulse or FanChannel exclusives.
