Man I wish this song was made 10 years ago when I was 14 and in high school. At the time I was cutting/burning myself everyday for months and I had an eating disorder for years. I know hearing this song back them would have helped me so much and given me hope. It's a beautiful song, as is every song she's released so far.

I wasn't really addressing whether or not you were comfortable with your flaws. I was actually talking about insecurities involving age. My generation focuses mainly on teenage self-consciousness, so you don't often see an older person stating that they too struggle in accepting who they are. My reply to your first comment was merely saying that age doesn't matter when it comes to human insecurities. We all have them, no mater how old we are. I'm sorry if I wasn't clear enough or you misunderstood me. My sincere apologies.

At 12 and 13 I was still as secure and confident as could be. At 14 I was bullied for my weight, body, friends, and was introduced to "fake friends" and "mean girls". I don't have a perfect jaw or beard and I don't have abs or muscles I don't have have colored eyes or any of that . It's a struggle we all face, we all want to be accepted . I hate being late to comment things, but, I love this song so much. My dad always puts this on because he knows it's one of my favourites. I've been bullied for 4 years, and people would constantly make fun of me, and tell me to "kms" I love this too because I struggle with mental health issues, and I struggle with SH, and I grew confidence with my scars. I know I'm beautiful the way I am, but I just find my voice so annoying, and my freckles ugly, and the way I dress. But every once in awhile, I come back to listen to this to know my worth❤

I feel so bad right now. I used to not eat all day until dinner, and then i would throw up what i did ate. I’ve been trying so hard to eat. And today my mom told me that my face is fatter and i should “try eating healthier” so that I can “go back to when my face was skinnier”. I was that skinny because i didn’t eat!! She doesn’t know it, but she is comparing me with my anorexic bulimic past self. Makes me feel like that version of myself looked better even when I wasn’t feeling better and I know it’s not true and I hate that I’m even thinking about it. This song helped me so much to star eating again, now i’m back here again
