I love your videos, and your family! I am sad for London because she hurts, but when her teeth are straight, she will be glad that she endured the pain. The brace to hold her mouth open as quite the strange contraption. London was VERY patient and cute even with her mouth wide open and her tongue trapped! . But I noticed that the orthodontist asked questions and expected her to answer. She IS VERY CUTE in the braces. My daughter, Cindy, got braces when she was about London's age. I am happy that when Cindy got her braces, she wrote about getting them and how they hurt in her little journal. A few months later, she wrote about them again and mentioned that she was getting used to them, but she didn't like getting them tightened because it hurt for a few days. Now that she is a mom, her teeth still look really nice. I have an 18 year old grandson who got braces a couple of months ago. It was really difficult for him for a few weeks, because they almost had to wire his mouth shut because his bite is so far off. All he could eat was very soft food, because he could not chew. Now his jaw has moved enough that he can chew, so he is very happy. He will be in braces about two years. Sadly no one noticed until his wisdom teeth were pulled and the dentist noticed. But the pain and not being able to eat for a while was worth it. Instead of a T-shirt and other gifts, the orthodontist gave him money toward his college fees. :) Best wishes to all of your cute family--especially Taylor. (PS) I left a card on the doorstep of the lonely home across from me. I wrote a note to the home, that I know it is lonely because no quirky, delightful teenagers come to visit anymore. Even when Boston is there, he is pretty quiet, I am sure. I left some leftover candy kisses for the home--I hope Boston ate them. 😉

Oh my gosh! I had those fang bicuspid teeth up top too and had braces for 4 years as a teenager! London is so lucky to be working on her beautiful teeth now (she’s already gorgeous!) ❤❤

Her teeth hurt because the wire of the braces if heat activated, so when it gets warm it tightens and shapes her teeth. Which our mouths are warm, a way to kinda help the pain for like 20 minutes or so is to have cold food, ice cream, cold water, slushies, milkshakes. The cold deactivates the wire for a short amount of time. Hope this helps!! ❤

I got braces three days ago and tbh they dont hurt at all… At least to me. They only hurt when i try to eat but day after day the pain got less… I think some people are overreacting a bit but everyone’s situation is different. I guess im a lucky one.

It has been so many years ago since I wore braces, nearly 55 years now! I was also feeling discomfort for a few days after each appointment my Orthodontist recommended warm canned soup to help with the eating and also you could almost drink it! The warmth helped relieve the pain I think.
They look great! I have heard it is very painful. Hang in there. You have the cutest smile!

I just got my braces on a few weeks ago and I think that just knowing that this would give me straight teeth and having all of the support from my friends and family got me through the pain. The most amount of pain that i have been through with my braces was getting my younger tie cut I I hope you know that people care for you and will send you their prayers (if that is what they do)

my orthodontist told me the wire is meant to stay in the horseshoe shape so they move your teeth and that’s why they hurt so bad but trust me they will feel better in the next few days but they look amazing
