Yep, that's why they make you do a dagger for your ms stamp, they're tricky to do perfectly.
And you're bang on about the corkscrew too, I had it happen once.

I think I will try making a dagger out at the forge tomorrow. My first try at demascus and my first eager. Needless to say my dagger probably will be just plain 1084 lol
