I want to redo my ingredient team... Someone turn back time
@@marigold5576Good advice, brb
Your new philosophy makes sense if we were constrained to making only the same dish for the whole week. However I tend to rotate between 2-3 strong dishes throughout the week depending on what I have, and in that case a mon like say honey/tomato/potato venusaur or sausage/ginger/herb charizard is still very good.
It’s also a massive pain to make 4 ingredient dishes like dream eater curry or any of the new 60+ dishes if none of the ingredient specialists have mixed lists. For example herb/corn/oil dragonite crushes some of the recent strong meals.
Lastly if you rotate mons too often during the day then eventually you won’t be able to keep them all at high energy. Which would be necessary if you wanted to make say dream eater curry with only single ingredient lists.
TLDR- The ing list you want is highly dependent on what dishes you want to make.
There is no wastage of any ingredient using solo-ingredient lists, as you can swap out once you've got enough of whatever you need.
When the week changes and you don't need the exact combination required for Dream Eater Butter Curry (e.g. blastoise + victreebel), but still need some milk/cacao/tomato/potato, but not all of them, then this strategy will pull through much better with no unneeded ingredients being farmed.
Also future-proofs your ingredient specialists from being phased out due to new recipes.
The main down side, like I said in the video, is needing to swap helpers more often.
@@Bropenings The problem is that if you swap out so many different pokemon, over time they will get lower and lower energy and eventually hit 0. Since you only have 5x team slots and you already want 1x e4e and 2x berry mons, that leaves you with 2x slots to sleep with ing mons.
However if you rotate 4 mons every day to make, for example, dream eater curry, then you can only restore energy on two of them. I tried this strat in the past (before I had a vaporeon) and it only works if you spend a ton of money on energy pillows.
This is even more true now that we can’t freeze energy for our secondary ing mons with a nap, it’s going to be really hard to keep them all high without whaling.
@seda_11 I've been running wiggly and self healing mons and seeing I've kept most pokemon above 100% before sleep. Individual accounts will vary on this factor but healers are more relevant than ever.
@@Bropenings Sure, but are you seeing that with one ingredient mon being used half the time and another being used the other half?
@seda_11 not yet, but I can manage my pokemon changing based on energy needed waiting for wiggly to trigger first before switching. I can also guarantee some healing at the right moments using naps.
Like I said I can't implement this yet since my pokemon are mixed ingredients.
One thing I will say is that the ingredients are all worth different amounts, so when using them as excess in recipes it could be better to have, say, potatoes that you aren't using rather than even more beans. Especially when your island starts to get to a high % boost and that ingredient difference gets bigger.
Fun fact, potatoes are the lowest base strength of the 4 "rare" ingredients.
Fun fact 2, cacao is the highest base strength of all the non-rare ingredients.
Fun fact 3, cacao is worth more than potato!
@@Bropenings I did know that cacao was high value, but didn't twig it was better than spuds. It took me so long to unlock them I have been mentally overvaluing them, I guess. Still better than beans though.
Keep in mind: if you want ingredients finder in 10/25 slot you only have 39 chances. @40 they go double gold.
Good point!
I think that having a 2 ingredient soecialist that match a Meta Dish, like having double milk cacao Blastoise will be great
When the dishes change it could be wasteful farming though. And recipes meta changing in the future protects single ingredient pokemon from being phased out, but mixed ingredient pokemon could become less useful.
I have also noticed that too. My Golem is now giving lots of Potato and less Soyabean. But in week my bag is full on week ends. As a F2P multi ingredient is fine but if we need specific ingredient for specific dish then a solo is good. Because as the change of island the may dish and the collected ingredients becomes the filler. So in that case multi ingredients collector is good.
Also future recipes being added we cannot predict what might or might not be needed.
Single-ingredient Pokemon cannot be phased out as you will still get exactly what you need, whereas mixed ingredient Pokemon will have trouble providing the right proportions.
As they add more mons I think it’ll even out and be more up to choice. Dragonite solves the need for 2 gengars for example. Absol solves the need for 2 blastoises. I imagine we’ll get more leek at 30 and oil support
Problem with this theory is that you're constrained to specific pokemon for ALL islands, which is suboptimal. If your pokemon bring in a variety of ingredients, you can invest in multiple potato mons for example (Golem and Victreebel), which are useful for different islands each. Not to mention the chances of you cooking a 60+ ingredient dish 3 times daily is next to none
There are definitely pros and cons of mixed or solo ingredient methods.
However this theory allows you to swap out the mono ingredient pokemon immediately after you're done farming that ingredient and just swap to a BFS berry specialist that can produce even more strength.
Mixed ingredient specialists will spend double the time to do the same and end up with excess ingredients that may not match recipe.
I think pokemon like vaporeon and slaking have become much more valuable. With energy potentially becoming a problem and the need the swap out ingredient mons, a good slaking/vaporeon can really be more beneficial. The last week ive been running a healer, 2 berry, an ingredient and a vaporeon. I got lucky enough to get a very good eevee that i turned into vaporeon. On average the vaporeon procs 5x a day. And at main skill level 5 that brings in 85 ingredients a day. Yes you can run into the problem of not being able to cook the ideal recipe you want, but ive been able to cook 2-3 high power recipes with no problems
That remains a viable strategy. Just means you could have a lot of waste ingredients everyday that would only be useful as extra ingredients.
Once I unlock an ingredient I use skill specialist Pokémon with ingredient finder to gather my inventory.
Thats a different strategy lol
It's good for dropping rare ingredients but often ends up with a lot of waste materials that can only be used for extra ingredients and not cover recipes.
I literally already have all the ingre list specialist you specified in that video Oo
How lol
Brovinnie's Recommended Ideal Solo Ingredient Specialist for each ingredient
Tails - Ditto (only Slowbro currently possible)
Leek - Dugtrio
Tomato - Mr Mime
Potato - Victreebel, alternative: Kangaskhan
Bean - Golem
Ginger - Tyranitar, alternative: Kangaskhan
Sausage - Charizard
Corn - Bewear
Gengar - Mushroom
Herbs - Dragonite
Oil - Toxicroak
Honey - Venusaur, alternative: Pinsir
Egg - Delibird, alternative: Abomasnow
^Milk - Blastoise
^^Cacao - Absol, alternative: Blastoise
^^^Apple - Absol, alternative: Pinsir/Delibird
^Blastoise if used as cacao alternative, may need to be supplemented on milk farming. An option is triple milk Eeveelutions e.g. Vaporeon.
^^Absol farms a huge amount of apple/cacao, it doesn't matter that it does both ingredients without needing to be "solo" ingredient list. However inventory up is crucial for it to be viable.
^^^There is no base level ingredient specialist that farm apple, but you can alternatively supplement with berry/skill specialist (e.g. Raichu/Raticate/Golduck) for apples.
I think going solo ingredient lists is a totally valid strategy considering the uncertainty of the game’s future, but what’s the logic behind not having two “flavors” of a given ingredient specialist? For example, shouldn’t my choice for tomatoes (between Victreebel, Abomasnow, Mime, and Dugtrio) be based on which is better, regardless of what I might be using for any other ingredient? I would think I should just use the best choice for each ingredient, not choose the “best” ingredient list for a given Pokemon.
Also whoops sorry for replying to the list and not making a general video comment
@smuzz89 you will need to redo your decision tree like I had in the video if you decide to follow a different branch of decision. So if you choose triple tomatoes for dugtrio, who will be leek farming? Ditto? But then who does slowpoke tail? You are forced to run slowking for tails instead of ditto. So yes it's possible. Just means all other pokemon get shifted into a different ingredient.
So that leaves Mr Mime or victreebel to have to cover potato instead. Victree is better so you might leave Mr mime jobless.
Abomasnow should be covering eggs if no delibird. If you have delibird triple eggs then Aboma can also do triple tomatoes.
@@Bropeningssorry I was unclear. What is wrong with me just having 2 Dugtrios, one with double leek and one with triple tomato?
I understand that resources might be legitimate issue for species like Ditto and Absol, but for relatively common species, I don’t see it being a big deal.
@smuzz89 nothing wrong with it. Like I also said in the video, you can, but then:
1. will you be able to get 2 dugtrios to L50, or even L100 in the future due to candy limits?
2. what will you do with leftover candies on Mr Mime? Mr Mime will become jobless. But that's OK if you understand what you're doing.
I started playing this way not long ago but also decided that if an ingredient specialist has berry finding s, then I would not care about the ingredient list and have two versions of the same pokémon, one for the favored berry island and one that is triple farmer of the same ingredient
I see the appeal to AAA ingredients, but when I calculate it on Raenonx, I just think it's excessive to get 90 sausages from Charizard. Sure you can swap it out once you have a good amount, but that's goign to be a pain in the ass to level up to high levels. I believe that a healthy amount comes from AAB ingredients, mixing a correct combination to have one Pokémon focus on two slots. AAB order has the advantage that the third slot matches in amount to the first and second slot, which will give you a well rounded amount of both ingredients (like 50 each), making that pokemon more versatile but not too all over the place. A good example for this is ginger ginger beans Ttar, freeing you one slot in your team and still being able to give you two ingredients for ninja curry. Im not against AAA order, but I think it's going to be too slow to level them up (especially for f2p)if you start switching them up once they have filled the bag.
I agree with your logic too. Hence I said you can redo your decision tree based on your own currently invested pokemon. Having one very invested for 2 ingredients simply means that 50% of the farms could be wasted if it's not needed. Halving the utility of your amazing ttar.
For new farmers like dragonite and bewear it would be exciting to think of dragonite as herbs herbs corn but puts bewear out of business altogether.
Bruh how do yall get lvl 50 mons so fast. I’m barely hitting 30
money
omg this is so complicated 😵 it makes sense though, thanks for the guide!
Out of all "meta" strategies for ingredients, I think this is the simplest if you follow the advice to just have single ingredients. And switch in that ingredient farmer for what you need.
The other "meta" strategy that is simpler than this is to just ingredient magnets like Vaporeon, but the rng means lots of waste materials
@@Bropenings thinking about the "ingredient meta" in general is confusing enough for me lol
Love this list. Thank you.
13:24 is gold
love your works Bro!
Double mushroom gengars are feasting tonight
0:02 how can you have that huge amount of candies?
1 Having good friends who send right candies
2 Achieve very high DP every week all the time = better sleep styles = more DS and candies for each sleep style earned
3 Investing wisely, not wasting any resources unecessarily.
Is it really worth having to commit 4 slots on your team to cooking some of those high power dishes though?
I think you misunderstood the concept. If you really did commit 4 slots, it would only take you like, rough estimate, 4 hours a day of farming to get all the necessary ingredients (at L60). You would change out the entire team for berry specialists after that.
So instead of doing that, you would balance your team by having 2 berry + 1 healer + 2 ingredient specialists, but you will need to swap out the ingredient specialists for whatever you need exactly. You never need to use an ingredient specialist that doesn't farm exactly what you need.
I said that in the video when I mentioned you need to swap out members more often.
When I pokemon has the ingredient skill what is the rule for it getting ingredients. Like for example charizard doesn't have apples but sometimes it gives apples. I wonder how does that work. Like does it grab ingredients that u unlocked and collected overall?
Charizard gives apples because of ingredient magnet, not from its normal ingredient production
Ingredient magnet can only provide ingredients from the pool of unlocked ingredients
@Bropenings Thank you. Yea thats what imeant because I know it doesn't produce it. Ok so in hindsight all I have to do is at least collect an ingredient once so that it's considered u locked and has the chance to pop up in the skill? Thanks again for taking the time out to answer me. I really appreciate it!
For me this raises a question.. is the late (or mid/late) game meal or berry focused? Bcz for me if im berry focused meals are just by the way.. if im lucky I can make a strong dish
At this moment it's still berry. But the new energy system shifted us away from a strong berry meta.
Actually no when u first started the "game" u probably find it more advantages to have multi rather than solo. Solo is more for "end game"
Yes indeed as a short term play, you can do mixed ingredient in order to open more dishes. Besides that it is not advantageous for medium to long term play (L30 and L60).
I don't think we have the same defintion of 'start' of the game though. Level 30 unlock can't be reached at the 'start' of the game especially for the f2p. If you have invested enough materials and time at the 'start' of the game to make that L30, you probably can't turn back and will have to keep using it. Blastoise with L30 cacao is the best example if "well I need cacao, but cant find absol" so really there's no choice but to go with it - and I already covered this scenario in the video. There's no good milk & cacao options early game. You will just have to accept a mixed option. But if you did that for every species, you'll end up with a huge mess of poor investments that in the medium (L30) to late (L60) game, having to reinvest every ingredient specialist. It would only be acceptable to do this mixed ingredient for limited number of pokemon, including Blastoise.
Me with my cacao apple cacao Absol with inventory up 😇 it also has berry finding s! It truly is my bestie for dessert weeks on Snowdrop!
So good!
Idgaf what the ingredients are... If the nature and skills are perfect, I'm locked in!!
Of course it's important to consider sub skills and Nature too. But ingredient specialists, to me, ingredient list is a hurdle. There's no point of golem victreebel abomasnow Mr mime all being perfect when it's only tomatoes
@@Bropenings well said.
bro"never misses"vinnie 💪
💪
can you synchronise a single go ++ to 2 phones/accounts?
You can but not for the same session as it'll wipe the sleep data each time.
Handy guide. A agree with solo ingredients. Full beans was my sole reason to choose between two S tier Charizards. But yep, my Tyranitar has the same ingredient list as yours, but he's so good, all the right sub skills. So he can be both ginger and beans, he'll do fine just like Berritar I'm sure :P
Yes, exactly. My only concern with Berritar is that when I really just need gingers for salads, it gives 5:2 beans and ginger. So the beans are "waste" material used as extra ingredient only.
My first Delibird is S+, and i also have a double tomatoe mooshroom Abomasnow
is the delibird triple egg? Then that abomasnow is an ideal combination since you got eggs covered.
@@Bropenings its double egg cacao
I prefer the 8 and 9 split vs the 7 and 12 split on absol
Yeah that's what i prefer too, but I'm just stating different options.
I already knew I had a Diglett with double Leek.
wow!
You must have read your own mind
Thanks for pushing me to finally buy a Pokemon go plus ➕ haha
I was not sponsored! I swear
So sir, one pokemon with single ingtedient is much better?
For long term gameplay, yes. But you should make sure you cover every ingredient first.
For example it's not good to have victreebel with tomato tomato tomato, if mr mime also doing tomato tomato tomato. You need to spread out the ingredient options to each pokemon species and decide who does what best - like I did in the video.
@@Bropenings thanks sir for the information
