First of all, people need to stop using that Miss USA title to act like she changed the world. While its a great accomplishment, she paved the way for no one. She was the second black women to win which means the way was paved for her. She won that title in 1993, when Lupita was 10 years old living in Africa. She wasn't watching her and looking up to Kenya Moore. I'm sure she had no idea who she was. Keep in mind, many Africans dislike black Americans for just the type of foolery Kenya Moore is known for. actually she grew up pretty privileged in Kenya. Her dad is a senator here and has been a well known professor and politician for years. She was born in Mexico when her dad sought political asylum there in the 80's. They came back to Kenya soon but I think she went back to mexico in her teens cz her parents wanted her to learn spanish or something like that.

Loni just brought up a question about what shows get broadcast in Africa. Loni and Tamar do not live in Africa. Different shows are broadcast in different places. I live in Michigan. Some places in the same state get different shows than others. That is not an ignorant question. Loni Love is an engineer and far from dumb or stupid. My opinion maybe largely unpopular Lupita wasnt deserving of that Oscar she won and should have shown more respect for one of her fans since she "claims" she didnt know who Kenya was. Maybe that Oscar has gone to her head. Afterall it is fans who put her in the spotlight w/o them where would she be??? Kenya has also said she is a longtime fan of Lupita's. I am not saying that I am #TeamKenya but Kenya being the 2nd Black woman to win Miss USA and also being a dark-skinned sister opened the door for Lupita, another darkskinned sister, to work in this county. Lupita was wrong IMO it takes 2 seconds to acknowledge a fan w/ a photo op..... period.

Chelsey Rolle I actually never said that it was Kenya's person that made the Oscar available for Lupita to win the Oscar. I said Kenya's being a dark-skinned black woman made Lupita's darker person more acceptable to be in entertainment in this country and thusly winning an Oscar. I am not the Almighty, so I cannot say she would have won an Oscar regardless. I agree Kenya is not stable but people need to remember that Kenya has tweeted for about a year now how much of a fan she is of Lupita's. Ok, if Lupita was asked to take photo with people who were fans of her's she should have taken the photo. I'm not a Kenya Moore fan but right is right, Lupita didn't have to know who Kenya was to take the photo. Furthermore this is the side of Tamar i don't like. I agree with you. Regardless of knowing who Moore is or not, if someone respects your work, why dismiss them? People are letting their feelings about Kenya on that Housewives show interfere with how they would feel if a celebrity they admired dismissed them.
