But from what I heard, those engines get terrible *fuel mileage,* even for a turbo-diesel.

Non VGT 6.0. You can tell just by the sound of the starter..
@@govtfunded I'm pretty sure the *starter motor* is the same with a 6.0L PowerStroke engine. It's primarily the *exhaust system,* the *catalytic converter* and the *type of turbocharger* that gives it a different overall exhaust note.
That truck in the end of the video probably had a *non-V.G.T. turbocharger (Variable Geometry Turbocharger),* which gives it that exhasut sound of the older *7.3L PowerStroke.*

Nope. That's an older *7.3L PowerStroke.*
All Ford V8 PowerStrokes -- right from their introduction in mid-1994 to today -- ...were *turbocharged* from the factory.

That's just the *tripometer* (meaning how far it's driven since its last *oil change),* not the overall *odometer* (how far it's driven since it was first built).
Someone who confuses the odometer with the trip meter; now that’s crazy.

Matz Madicus some of these trucks are ridiculous, but most don’t drive or own anything like this. And the emissions in new trucks does kill the environment too, so we all doing our fair share of hurting the environment in our own way.
