  • During the months of August and September local Melbourne Pale Octopus (Octopus pallidus)lay their eggs and then stay with them until they hatch. They will often use bottles and other man made rubbish to lay their eggs in or underneath. Here one is found in the shallows in a trap made by a fisherman: giving us a chance to time-lapse her dedication to defend her eggs from predators.
