Found Footage: July 28, 1956 Naval Air Station Dallas Air Show

In this 8mm film home movie taken on July 28, 1956, a Military Air Show at The Naval Air Station in Dallas, Texas is featured. First is footage of what looks to be a swimsuit competition with pretty ladies all in a line on the stage. Then the film cuts to US Military aircraft in flight and taking off from the runways. The amazing skills and precision flying demonstrated by these pilots over a half century ago is astonishing!

Great video! Really neat to see footage of the base in it’s hay day! I remember seeing the last performance of the Blue Angles there as a kid in 1993, too bad the base had to close...
