Public transportation, specifically buses, is a mixed bag. Coming from NYC, I was surprised that the buses stop running at night. I once came home from the airport and planned to take the bus home. Got off the lightrail and was downtown. There are two buses that go to where I live. One bus stopped running at 8:30. The other stopped running at 11:00.
Downtown Seattle late at night is scary. There were virtually no vehicles on the street other than buses. There were almost no pedestrians on the street. There were homeless people. Some were cursing and threatening unseen others. There were no police officers. I tried boarding the lightrail to return to the airport but it stopped running. At that point I didn’t have Uber on my phone. I found a bus that took me near my home. I walked almost two miles and was glad I didn’t have to walk from downtown.
I have lived in Seattle for 22 years. Sometimes I have to remind myself I’m not in NYC. The city closes down at sunset. If you want to get somewhere and don’t have a car you must know when your bus stops running. PS: the buses don’t always stop to pick up passengers. Having a car is a giant plus if you want to get around.

Hi Bryce! It hit this one hot off the presses! I am getting the official offer letter tomorrow for my new job I told you about. I'll be transferring with the promotion to work in both Redmond and Kirkland! I am also open to prefab homes and wanted to get your opinion of them. As long as I own the land and the unit, I'm good. However, I don't want to deal with any HOA. Breaking Bad, I'm ready! I saw one in Redmond for 100K! I almost fell out of my chair! Let's touch base maybe this week or next OK? Warmest Regards, Rich!
