With music A time for us written by Nino Rota and the best version of the song I felt a fit for this content is by Andre Rieu.
There are quite a few Tristan and Isolde postings on you tube, yet surprisingly not many I felt with the right tone of music to mesh the richness of the emotional content.
So I worked hard to put this edit together to give it justice...
Tristan & Iseult - "Forever Entwined" for as history relays, as they rested two trees appeared out of their graves, grew in strength and could not be parted...
Legend has it it was a Briar bush (Isolde) and a Hazelnut Tree (Tristan)
A motif for the real Tristan and Iseult & that the sands of time will never separate nor wither their love....

What I liked about this movie was that it went by the courtly version where none of the love triangle were bad - hey ere just humans feeling deep emotions in an impossible situation. They could have of easily made Mark into a villain to raise sympathy for Tristian and Isolde, but instead they just made it beautiful and tragic.

Tristan was bad though he betrayed the man who loved him and trusted him by sleeping with his wife behind his back. No sense of loyalty or honor.
@@RussianOccupier190 But he redeemed himself and sacrificed himself in the end for Mark. He shouldnt have slept with his lord's wife- that is true- but I am just saying that they didn't try to make anyone a major villain in the triangle. Everyone was played sympathetically and human.
@@RussianOccupier190I'd say the structure of society was to blame for that, not Tristan. When marriage is made a matter of politics, and you don't allow people a free choice of whom to marry, you can't expect anything else.

I've never cried so much in a trailer
If I were to imagine her life afterwards… Id place her and her Ladys Maid living together in a small cottage by the sea. Far away from politics and society. She bears a child, one who looked so much like his father, dark curly hair, brown eyes, Tristan in every sense… She would glow with pride knowing she got to keep apart of him with her, that it was unmistakably his, not Marc’s. He would grow up to be strong, wise and skilled, watched over carefully by his mother and grandmother (Isoldes ladys maid). Isolde, a skilled herbalist, would tend to those who sought her help and accept food, provisions etc in return. She would live a good life, seeing her son thrive and start his own family, free from the turmoil and duties and everything that plagued her own relationship so long ago. When she passes, it’s surrounded by loved ones, knowing she will see Triston again, she is content. She is buried beside Triston, where the entwined willows are that she had planted above his grave, where the ashes of the Roman ruin once stood. Finally, they could spend eternity together.
Fanciful thinking, but she deserved a good life after everything, so, thats just how I picture it. 😊

Well, it didn't have Isolde die of sadness in the end with Tristan, but suppose one can imagine she died of sadness off screen...

I think this is a good ending cheaters and traitors don’t deserve to live happily ever after considering the pain they have caused the I only one feel bad for is mark he didn’t deserve to get betrayed like that. He is a real one a lesser man would have had them both killed but mark was better than that so he spared them.

@@yvonaj3493 Hope your day is going well. Yes, I understand what you are saying. I have been familiar with the tragedy of Tristan and Isolde’s love story for decades. I should have made this clear in my first comment. The theme from R&J was distracting for me and I feel that it should not have been used in this video clip for several reasons. Instead, the original music from the movie score of Tristan and Isolde would have been better suited.
