Long term results are important. What ever system used, the main thing is to get the plants right. As long as the potting mix remains, tough plants like Lomandra will keep going.

@dotway Any luck in finding that kind of felt? The only way I can find it is if it's already a part of a larger system. Thanks!

I might try felt moving pads from U-haul. they are cheep, large and made of recycled denim. They are not very thick but doubled up they should work. I might also add burlap underneath. Not sure if its necessary but it couldn't hurt.

The problem I foresee with this material felt, is the mildew and unhealthy fungi spores that flourish on these wet surfaces. I would be looking for a alternative material that can be easily power washed and given a fresh start annually. Something similar to that 2" thick black fiber meshed filtering used on furnace ventilation's.

Low IQ audience presentation style. Which is a shame because he follows Patrick Blanc's technique very well, not the over priced, over engineered commercial walls that end up with unnatural placements and dead plants.
