Bad take on the manual thing, I used to think that as well, but if you’re doing wedding or street photography it makes life so much easier, I still shoot manual, I just think it’s a dumb advice

I have to disagree with you, shooting manual is the way to go for beginners. Learn everything first and make your life easier later.
You will reach a situation when automatic just doesn't work and that moment might be important, if you never learned to shoot manual this will be a big problem and especially on a wedding embarassing for you.
Beginners should always learn all the settings and practice how to use them, after that I agree, choose what makes your life easier.
Most pro photographers shoot manual or at least s/a priority mode depending what you need at the moment.
I personally shoot portraits and I am always in manual as the auto modes don't work well depending on the situation, especially when the subject is backlit.
By the way I am not saying that it is wrong to shoot in auto mode, I'm simply trying to say that you will learn and improve much faster in manual.

@@der.kommentierende.komment5275 I never mentioned auto mode to begin with, I was solely talking about the idea of shooting just manual is dumb, and aperture priority or shutter priority is far from ''auto mode'', you still have to learn to use it properly, you should go back and watch the part he talks about professional photographers not making sense on not shooting manual, this is such a beginners take

@@der.kommentierende.komment5275 If you learn how to use aperture priority or shutter priority, there's a 99% chance that you know how to shoot manual and how things works
