  • A Basket weave cane is a great background for beads you can add as a simple background cane great for focal beds and regular stringing beads . Theres two ways to make these beads just choose which way you prefer either gives a great result . If you would like to see how I make the donut focal bead follow the link below.
If you enjoy my videos and would like to see more you can support my channel thru purchases at my shop www.etsy.com/shop/turtlesoupbeads
Unfortunately videos not only take many hours of my time but have actual production costs involved I prefer to keep my videos free for all and greatly appreciate all those who support my channel through my shop - thank you
My original designs are free to use in all your personal work for craft fairs and art shows however if you are to copy them for sale or reproduction in videos or on the internet you need my express written permission .

I concur with Melba Tate, et al! I am fortunate, and blessed, because I am learning to sew and weave beads! I have built a stash of basic beads, and have learned most all of the stitches. As I went to add focal beads I found how expensive they are. About a month ago Susan's TurtleSoupBeads showed up - thank you CZcams. Last night I realized that I can do this too! As I studied under Gina's Gem Creations to learn how to make projects that will garner additional income, and then Ms. Carol Huber's Mastering Beadwork, I find that I pick up certain cadences of theirs that I find so beneficial. Wrapping the canes one more time and using the gold leaf will become mine also! And, from here on out I will always credit Gina, and now Susan, as having inspired me. The beading community has wonderfully generous souls who care to share their knowledge in an effort to promote the craft. I hope that one day I will be able to do the same! Maybe I already am!!! Thank you so very much! I will begin learning-by-doing next week!!! On with the tutorials! May all be well and taking care! Blessings and Re Jouir -Darlene

I love, love your beads but especially the donut beads! I wish I could afford to do these but unfortunately I live on a limited budget. Love watching your videos! You take the time to go into great detail where some don't. Keep up the awesome work and I hope you have an amazing day! ❤️😸

Susan I would like to say that through all this crazy time that we are living in, I find comfort in listening to you explain working with polymer clay. I am a 62 year old gamer and crafter, I find when I am gaming I am listening to you explain making canes, or other things you make. You have helped me so much with experimenting with clay and I thank you. Your voice if very calming and I wanted to thank you.

Melba Tate I totally agree!! Susan has the most useful and practical information about polymer clay on CZcams. I would have never even thought about making my own beads until I ran across TurtleSoupBeads. I watch her videos over and over and oddly learn something new every time I rewatch a video. Check her out on Pinterest there is a lot of additional helpful stuff on there.
