Nominal GDP is the most important in international relations. When you import something, you are paying the price in nominal terms. PPP is just to boost the ego of Indians.

GDP PPP is used to determine historical GDP of countries like India, China, Roman Empire Europe etc. as there was no US dollar to measure exchange rates for nominal GDP

GDP per capita is also a macro term, bcoz 1-2% of high earners hide the reality of atleast bottom 20-30% 😅

Purchasing Power Parity is truer. It's more realistic. Nominal is not correct by many standards. PPP is the better metric
Russia has 2 things by which they can sustain sanctions First Natural Resources and Second they are Weapon exporters. And moreover their permanent seat at UNSC gives them advantage.

I thik real GDP & purchasing power parity are two distinct concepts...In real gdp counts final value of goods and services at fixed price ( price of base year ) ...on the other hand in ppp we equate the vale of a basket of some goods & service in different countries ... it's rough definition by my knowledge... please correct me sir 🙏 🙏 if I'm wrong.
