      @@KingKong-os7iv dumb. 5km range means even small unit controlled drones can find and destroy you. why don't you ask the armenian's about their feelings after their artillery and tanks were introduced to the turkish tb2. plus, fwiw the armenian's had s300's.

    Mortar System (AMOS) - Twin Barrel 120mm Mortar is better

      Bulshit AMOS was only prototype and didn't adopted by any army.

    • @SonsOfLorgar
      @SonsOfLorgar Před 4 lety +3

      AMOS couldn't fire the long STRIX guided anti tank shells which the Mjölner can, it's a side-grade to the AMOS system with marginally slower ROF but more versatile in ammo compatibility, which is actually more important to the infantry and armor that is supported by the mortars as the deployment speed and rate of fire of an indirect support system is pointless if it can't deliver munitions that has an effect on the current target.

      Finland has 24 AMOS and 24 NEMO system installed on AMV 8x8.
      Sweden have 40 (+36 on order) Mjolner systems on CV90.
      AMOS and Mjolner fires about 14-16 rounds/minute.
      NEMO fires about 8-10 rounds/minute.

    The Swedes opted for a system less capable than AMOS, because of financial issues.

      I dont know why you i find so many hateful Finns in the comment section of EVERY Swedish video no matter the context but calm tf down.
      "Less capable" lmfao
      I know you are not expecting a serious response since you are just looking to be negative for god knows why.
      But the Mjölner was basically built to be a better AMOS, it fills in the flaws the AMOS had and also is capable of housing new ammo.
      The entire reason the Swedes opted out of the AMOS project was because it didnt fit their requirements, none the less it is a great powerful system, however just not fitting for the Swedish doctrine.

      It is not less capable because it is manual loaded.
      And it is based on a very capable platform, CV90.
      The Finns use a wheel based platform with less mobility and protection.

      Rather harsh to say the swedes. Swedish decision makers did so. CV90 amos was subject to budget cuts. But when cilly winds blew in from the east they went for a hasty and cheep solution. They allready had the chassis. But in the end it would likely have been cheeper to stick with the amos project in the beginning. We don't build to much trust amongst our finnish friends when we leave them in such development projects. And that might be very expensive.
