I don't know if this song came from that sound system or not but when I see brand McIntosh I know it sound good. Brand name is can make sound good you know, even if it play in your smartphone.

It still sounds pretty impressive, even after being played in a room, re-recorded with a microphone of unknown quality, uploaded to youtube where it is streamed to us with lossy 125K bps compression, and likely reproduced on inferior equipment. (I'm listening to it on the tiny built-in speakers in my monitor.) Simple amazing.

My preference is McIntosh Tubes though over solid state but that being said there are a rare few Speakers that will need this kind of Power I have a Mint McIntosh 2275 Integrated Tube Amp mated to Bowers & Wilkins 805Ds Sweet Airy Transparency Also have a completely restored Kenwood 9600 Reciever which is one of the most Beautiful Powerful Recievers of all time mated to Infinity Column IIs quite incredible as well especially with Spotify Bluetooth via Auris amazing!!! This is a formidable system very transparent and detailed!!! Awesome those Amps are Huge!!!!
My two cents as a McIntosh owner, it depends on what you have in the signal chain. For instance, if you have both pre amp and amp as solid state, the sound will be very sharp and gives you listening fatigue. It’s good to have one tube and one solid state in the chain. I got a good result with Tube pre-amp and solid state amp. The sound is more rounded edge and not so much tweeter focused. Happy new year to you all!!

No i jeszcze nic nie wiadomo o lokalizacji .

How many people have bought McIntosh simply because of there athletics? I had a little sansui separates system in late 70s early 80s as my first system which had cool soft blue instruments panels that simply set the mood as a fresh teenager playing zeppelin, rush, skinnard etc. Wonderful times. I've got Unison Research amp now and Focal speakers which have no lights really, just solid aluminum face and an amazing sound. Great looking system though I'd hate to have that much light in my listening room.
Room is too small. Carpet is not thick enough. Walls aren't dampened. Why would you buy amazing speakers like this and put it in a sub-standard room which will ruin the sound?
Because most home systems at this price point are vanity systems, the equivalent of a "Birkin Bag" for men. There's a reason ATC's main market is recording studios.

Have you ever done a head to head comparison with the aging Mc-1201 monoblocks against the Mc-1.2kw monoblocks ? If so what differences could be heard ? I have owned 4 Mc-1201 monoblocks for over 15 years now with zero issues except replacing burned bulbs so much that i had the lighting changed to the LED retrofit ,i have roughly $30,000 invested in the 2 pairs of Mc-1201s i have running now ,1 pair is driving Mcintosh XR-290 line arrays with the 2nd pair driving Mcintosh XRT-28 line arrays ,im real close to buying a pair of the new Mc-901 dual monoblocks to triamp my XRT-28s along with either a Mc-2102 driving the tweeters or a Mc-252 to drive the tweeters ,next i will be doing something different to drive the XR-290s ,the 290s need every last watt from my 1201s as well as having each amp on its own dedicated 20 amp line so the Mc-901 dual monos wont be an option ,i dont describe differences i hear using audiophile speak like " chocolaty ,airy etc because i dont understand how those descriptions apply to electronics ,things i do understand are terms like " better bass response ,cleaner mids or brighter highs,rolled off mids or highs etc ,my dealer will bring a pair of demo 1.2kw amps to my home & help me set them up for A/B testing against my Mc?-1201s for $1,500 for the 1st week & $1,000 for each additional week i keep them ,the in home demo is a mandatory 2 week rental to make it worth his time which im ok with paying ,however,when my dealer rented me a pair of Mc-501s to test against a pair of Mc-252s powering my vintage XRT-22s i had a very hard time " hearing " any difference in sound ,i had to use the spectrum analyzer & room mic along with my SPL meter to measure any differences of which there was little . If my Mc-1201s are even still 90% of what the quad balanced Mc-1.2kws are id keep the 1201s & use the money id save & purchase a new turntable ,any insight you could offer would be greatly appreciated.

Have you ever done a head to head comparison with the aging Mc-1201 monoblocks against the Mc-1.2kw monoblocks ? If so what differences could be heard ? I have owned 4 Mc-1201 monoblocks for over 15 years now with zero issues except replacing burned bulbs so much that i had the lighting changed to the LED retrofit ,i have roughly $30,000 invested in the 2 pairs of Mc-1201s i have running now ,1 pair is driving Mcintosh XR-290 line arrays with the 2nd pair driving Mcintosh XRT-28 line arrays ,im real close to buying a pair of the new Mc-901 dual monoblocks to triamp my XRT-28s along with either a Mc-2102 driving the tweeters or a Mc-252 to drive the tweeters ,next i will be doing something different to drive the XR-290s ,the 290s need every last watt from my 1201s as well as having each amp on its own dedicated 20 amp line so the Mc-901 dual monos wont be an option ,i dont describe differences i hear using audiophile speak like " chocolaty ,airy etc because i dont understand how those descriptions apply to electronics ,things i do understand are terms like " better bass response ,cleaner mids or brighter highs,rolled off mids or highs etc ,my dealer will bring a pair of demo 1.2kw amps to my home & help me set them up for A/B testing against my Mc?-1201s for $1,500 for the 1st week & $1,000 for each additional week i keep them ,the in home demo is a mandatory 2 week rental to make it worth his time which im ok with paying ,however,when my dealer rented me a pair of Mc-501s to test against a pair of Mc-252s powering my vintage XRT-22s i had a very hard time " hearing " any difference in sound ,i had to use the spectrum analyzer & room mic along with my SPL meter to measure any differences of which there was little .
If my Mc-1201s are even still 90% of what the quad balanced Mc-1.2kws are id keep the 1201s & use the money id save & purchase a new turntable ,any insight you could offer would be greatly appreciated.
