Hello Dr. Nancy, this video is pretty helpful for me to update the resume with PM-related keywords. Especially how you divided them into three buckets. I'm a startup cofounder and now trying to get into PM roles at top companies. Though I think I have PM experience, it is all informal while building and scaling up my startup. Hi Sarang, I don’t think certification is required. Some of my students got a PM certification from product school, but still couldn’t get a job. So they came to me. Almost All my students who got a PM job don’t have a certification. It matters how you build a product portfolio and package your prior experience. Make sure to check out my product portfolio video.
Most of them keep saying that technical background is required to get into product management but your videos do not say so. Do you have any video that helps understand how to transition to PM without having a technical background?

Hi Nancy, been following you for a while. Question: have you found most of your jobs by networking or by applying to jobs with 200+ candidates? Just saying because I think I am going to stick to 100% networking, when employers recruit, they assess me against a criteria, it becomes almost impossible.
