    I have a 2020 Taycan Turbo S and it's amazing. I will never get back to Tesla after my Taycan. I recommend for you to read the manual and learn things before selling it's a bad product. 99% of your concerns are based on you don't really know how to use the car at all.

    • @Kingdomconsultinggroup
      @Kingdomconsultinggroup  Před rokem +1

      As I kept clarifying in my review, I was comparing it to a Tesla a lot. Because when it comes to the EV space that it’s nearest most popular competitor. So my nitpicky Ness is explaining why I don’t believe that the Porsche is worth the money when compared to other EV‘s. Remember I’m reviewing an EV compared to another EV. I’m not comparing Porsche as a brand at large or a Porsche GT three RS to a Tesla model S or something like that I’m specifically regarding PORSCHE as an EV maker to Tesla as an EV maker.

    Also saw your i8 video. If you had to pick between this or the i8, which would you choose? I know the i8 is a pain in the ass to get into but as a short person, I fit perfectly. Also like that the i8 is a hybrid so i can just fill it with gas without having to worry about charging it up. The interior on the Taycan looks god-tier though in comparison to the i8, so kinda of torn.

    • @Kingdomconsultinggroup
      @Kingdomconsultinggroup  Před rokem +2

      Good questions.
      Gas vs electric is never an issue. I personally will never really drive more than 150 miles in a day so range anxiety doesn’t really exist.
      Vacations are the only exception, to which we fly, or if it’s too short to fly but over 5 hours each way I don’t want to put those miles on any of my personal cars anyway.
      I’m 6ft and I can get in and out of the i8 just fine once you learn how to do it comfortably.
      The interior of the Taycan is 10/10. Love the interior much more.
      If your goal is comfort and low key getting head turns, Porsche.
      If your goal is everyone taking pictures of your car, hearing the engine, and a rougher mid engine ride, i8. Porsche is WAY smoother of a ride.
      Hopefully that helps.

      @@Kingdomconsultinggroup Thank you so much for replying. Yeah the whole people taking pictures is a massive turn off. I love the curves on the i8 and the tail lights but the attention seems to be a problem from other videos too. Def, pushed the needle towards the Taycan so thank you!

    I share some of the same gripes about the car as you but the build quality compared to even other German cars is head and shoulders above in the Porsche. Where it comes in to its own is throwing it round some corners which puts a massive smile on your face and makes you forget the niggles of outdated infotainment and ridiculous fish eye cameras.If anyones thinking of getting one go for performance batt and the 4S or higher or you'll regret it. Lastly comparing a Porsche against a Tesla is just wrong..... I can tell you how many looks you get driving a model 3 or Y or X being ZERO vs a Taycan which is beautiful IMHO. Finally..... Yeah, in retrospect, we really don’t regret not having the fifth seat back there because that middle seat would be so small I know because I sat in one before, that, even if it was that child, they would not be able to sit in that sit comfortably. A kids booster seat would not even fit there and a kid old enough to not be in a booster seat would not be able to fit there either so it’s really kind of useless.

In the modern era of UX some of Porsche's interaction design practices and implementations are embarrassingly behind and dated, this is the vehicle category where the customers you are pitching to probably owns an iPhone, a Macbook, a handful of Google/nest smart home products and have owned or at least driven a Tesla - they know what good is and should be, so why sell something that's worse than the standard and for more $? Good review, most of anyone in the comment section are tweaking saying anything else. Most car buyers miss a lot of these small details on a car because of their own self hype over purchasing the car and will notice them after the honeymoon stage with the car is over. Most will look for heated/cool seats, what materials make up the interior, cameras on all sides, the sounds system, but will glance over being able to change songs from the steering wheel. I'd much rather look at a video about complains on a car vs what is great because if you been doing your research you should already know what is awesome and great about a car like most, because whats great about a car is what gets us interested in general not whats bad...

      @@Kingdomconsultinggroup First of all. We can see that you are Tesla lover and you are a big one. I don't do this things when it comes to cars but I'll do it now. I have 2022 Taycan Turbo S Carrara White with E Mission wheels 22". You don't have drive select,you don't have Matrix LED lights,No ACC,etc. That car is barebone. I understand that. What I don't understand is why do you talk about options on the cars that you are not familiar using? Let's go from the start. Door handles. They do pop up all the time when you get close to the car. If you are close with the car they will stay open and when you go a hit far away they fold but not lock (mirrors stay opened), but when you do get back to the car they pop-up. Second. You do not need to press Power On because when you do close the doors it comes On. Material quality of the Taycan is 100 years away from Tesla. I got my wife a brand new Tesla 3 long range last year. She got it for a 3 months and I sold it. It is the same quality as Hyundai or Kia. Tesla is sooo bad when it comes to quality. Steering wheel is one of the best steering wheels in the industry. The steering wheel is sports steering wheel and that's why it doesn't have "next track" button. It is not Mercedes,Audi,Tesla,etc... Cruise control is basic. Turn On by pressing the left button,activation by pushing away from you. Easy. You mentioned the car swirling is that you turned cruise control on but not activated it,meaning,it has basic "follow the line function" which is not accurate if you do not have ACC and Porsche InnoDrive. I have it all and my car "sits" dead center in the drive line. Traction control button works flawlessly but you DO have to be in D. You do not have to press and hold it when it comes to Sport button. Again,you do not have Drive Select option in the car. Turn cruise control off and it will not push you left or right. Auto Hold is dependent on how strong you press the brake pedal. Light press no Auto hold,strong press on the brake pedal engages Auto Hold. When it comes to the "spot" that you cannot "activate",you do not swipe up or down,you just press those two lines and the upper selection comes down. Nothing is strange. Everything is straight forward. It is a sport car when it comes to seats. Man it is Porsche! The car has a soul! Tesla?! Pffff... Come oooon. You compare build quality with Tesla?! That is insane. Not Comparable! Why would you wanna see where the end of the hood is?! It is sports car and low "nose". So no seeing the end of the hood. It is not the Hummer. Rear camera has wide view and is configurable for normal view. Regarding silent feeling, it is dependent of double glase windows or single layer windows. Range. Range is speed depending thing. Depends if you drive it inside the city (stop and go) or you go 140km/h-160km/h on the highway. Then it will have 270-300km range. AC on or of,range mode (which you don't have I suppose) on or off (selected or not),etc... You know. Classic electric car things. When it comes to the looks, try with white Taycan Turbo S with 22" e-mission wheels. ;) I wouldn't drive that Taycan ever since that is a "cheap ticket" to Porsche electric cars entry. Hope I explained it a bit more in detail. Cheers and regards from Serbia!
