I did message you before but didn't get a reply. Would you allow me to use your backing tracks with me playing lead over the top in my videos please? My videos are here and this is an example. I make no money on my page and my discoveries are being hidden. This is what I have used it for to this point but my next move will produce DVDs and make profit. I had a look at this link, because I love this track! 🤗 But there's 20+ albums, each with 20 odd tracks all named similarly ...how many permutations of 'soulful' 'atmospheric' 'groove' etc can there be? 😏🥶🤯 I'm not enjoying the search....perhaps you can assist me to find this track in your albums on bandcamp?

Ok great song to jam over. scale types that work by using modal.
B Aeolian, D Ionian, Em Dorian, G Lydian and A Mixolydian. You just have to know when to bend the notes up or down or note play. G Lydian gives it that beautiful sad powerful moving feeling.

Hi, one question : why Bm aeolian works well with Amajor scale whereas it should rather be Bm Dorian ? Thanks!

Yeah it not B minor, the E would be minor too, but it major in this. B minor pentatonic works but if you do the B minor the e will be little off as well as the G I think. So B dorian or A major or F# minor, which explain the F# chord?
yeah so the g and e don't really match. Not sure which key is closer.
marshalcraft it's a mix between aeolian and "spiced" with Dorian over the E chord;)
When it goes from Bm to E try playing B dorian (A mayor) over the E ; )

second it cannot be written Gb next to G. it can only be F# instead. so the same with Db.
but you did a good job with the music itself.
It's Dorian too sometimes... (particularly with an E chord)

So, the constant use of the E major chord (and it's G#) really makes this in B Dorian, don't listen to the scale shape, in the background! Sharp that 6, kids!! (Over the E major at least, or anything but the G chord)
JP: Its B Aeolian and B Dorian. It changes keys, but you are right. The description is not acculturate.

This track is in B Dorian.. B minor doesn't work with an E major chord.
1st : B aeolian doesn't work for the first two chords. Bm and E makes A major scale, so B dorian is needed. 2nd : B aeolian is the paralell minor of D major. It1s a key with sharps. F# and C#. Please, don't write Gb and Db on the fingerboard!

In music, relative keys are the major and minor scales that have the same key signatures. A pair of major and minor scales sharing the same key signature are said to be in a relative relationship.

If you want to play something like this, I guess "elevated jam tracks is for you. In real life it does not serve you well. I'm a Prog player to some extend, but this is bs.
