Fun fact (if you didn't know that already) : When a Newborn cries it sounds different now and when a sim pics them up they keep holding the newborn until they do a different task and when the mum breastfeeds the baby her hunger bar gets lower. Nice little details they added :)
@@lilywilcox7162 there's a workaround using the sims 4 studio, look it up, someone made a video. its possible to make the eyes compatible with infants using that program
The change pad comes with the pack. So basically if you change their diaper then it just gets thrown on the floor. Kind of a cash grab item making you purchase the new pack IMO
Mine so far has been fine I know it’s about the infants but I’m loving the newborn changes as well. And the parents know exactly what the baby needs, at least mine does so far without just doing something and get “scared” when it’s the wrong thing
Yeah the baby changing station and a lot of other stuff is actually coming with the expansion tomorrow unfortunately. And for sure there will undoubtedly be tons of kits for baby items released. I'll stick to our marvelous CC creators. I already own ever single DLC for Sims 4 they've gotten all of my past money. 🙃 so I won't buy a kit for a life stage that lasts a couple days. CC all the way! ❤️
The baby mat is more useful with the pack, infants need to learn to sit up, crawl, and need tummy time so I think that’s why the mat isn’t working well
I like that if you have parenthood and you’re at level 10 of the parenting skill you can use super efficient baby care on them! It takes care of all their needs at once. 😀
The update actually seems to have fixed a lot of lag issues and some high chair and baby glitches but sadly almost all of the infant game play is going to be in the dlc and yeah no base game changing table
Get a high chair. You can give them different foods and they will let you know if they like it or not. EDIT: I posted this before you discovered the high chair, lol. In my game, the tasting was broken though because when I saved it, and then went back into the game, the foods my infant tried were showing as not tried yet. FYI: the food on the floor isn't throw-up, it's the food she didn't like, heh. They don't earn skills though unfortunately.
The 'give nap' interaction is my absolute favourite. The fact that the carer goes on their phone as they rock the infant, adds a touch of realism, as of course it's nice to have something to do while the baby is having a rest (or a feed - in real life - which as yet, is not an option with multiple kinds of interactions). I had a beauty blog when I was younger and I sent it to my auntie, who read through all of my posts over a week or so, when she was nursing her babe.
The infant floating glitch where the infant appears near the adults foot is caused by cc cribs and other cc toddler items. You can keep everything else luckily 😭
Infants are definitely a much needed update. I want to see if you can do the big sister challenge with a teenager, kid, toddler, and infant. I also want to try the runaway pregnant teen challenge and see all the differences from my past Lps. Also can’t wait until people start coming out with cc for infants. They’re so cute! Btw, if you age a baby up into an infant, their fun will be locked until they learn how to sit up.
Yay excited for this video! I spent two hours yesterday updating my mods and by the time I finally started the game up and my sim got pregnant… I fell asleep before she could give birth 😂
You should try an experiment with the new life stage where for one baby you just feed them and ignore all other things like the tummytime goal, reaching ect ect and the OTHER baby gets ALL needs met and works on all skills goals ect .... and see what the outcome would be as they age
Even without cc it’s a little glitchy, my sim put the baby in the crib and then immediately back out over and over. Hopefully a patch will be out soon! The best update we’ve had so far!!! Even with the glitches.
mine, my sim wont put the infant down (in crib highchair or the ground) and if i reset the sim the infant wont be able to be picked up (or fed or anything like that)

with the kid being stuck on the floor or attached to sims feet when using the crib: for me it turned out to be a bassinet default override ! removing it also stopped my sims sitting weird too strange enough
THEY ARE SO TINY AND CUTE AND I LOVE THE NEW CARPETS AND OTHER OBJECTS but I hope there's more things the babies can do socially like with other babies and public lots dedicated to them Also I'm having issues with my infants eyes too- they came out red lol
Before the update came out i disabled all my mods and cc in the settings it is in the folder just not useable at the moment Also when i told my sim to put the infant in the crib she sometimes took her out and put her on the floor, so i had to tell her to put the infant back in to the crib.....
Just some FYIs, in build mode when you want items from a certain pack just use the filter and click on the pack you want it’ll show all items. And another thing you don’t have to clear you mods folder, just disable them in the settings, and then you can turn them back on whenever. I go back and forth sometimes to use mccc. Just make sure you save.
the new wallpapers come with growing together from what i understand so we just dont have them yet. so i am just waiting til we get growing together before i even touch my game cause i want access to everything and not just bits and pieces

Yea I expected them to lock most of it behind the paywall of the "expansion pack". Quotes because it's absurd how much we got included in every pack for sims 3 but now it's nickle-and-dime all the way.
@jvseventeen I've sadly not been able to play the sims 3....or any of them except number 4. But I was thinking the other day how insane the sims 4 is. Especially when it comes to kits and basic things that should've been base game. I'm very thankful for modders and CC creators.
@@indiafox5786 yea, even from a "new to sims" perspective its kinda ridiculous how little we actually get per pack. There's rarely any new wall/floor tiles or new usable decor, and they frequently split up packs into smaller packs/kits/whatever even though I personally would prefer to wait longer and get more related content in one go from a pack. Especially since they're basically each as expensive as buying a full game.

When she gets a room pack that doesn't come with doors,windows,wallpaper, and flooring, It's actually pretty amazing. Ironically, I don't even play with families that often, and I'm excited for growing together. Literally have no reason to buy it to be, but of course, I'm about to pay for it right now 😅. I wasn't as addicted until I moved to PC. Just thinking of the CC and mods that are to come makes me want the stupid pack lol
I noticed with my game, MCC was main reason for all of the glitching. I removed it from my game and it made the update much better, not completely working, but it works better now. Try removing MCC from your game to help.
Oh that bug your getting with the baby not going in the crib and being stuck in your feet is the pandasama toddler crib mod, take it out until it gets updated and it will work
Custom content wasn't affected by the updates, it was most of the mods that people have that broke the game. Removing the mods was a good idea. Great video as always!

@@arnolski1979 the stuff of pandasama that broke is the childbirth mod, the toddler crib, the high chair lock, the changing table, and the rock a stack (which has now been updated).
it's interesting that your CC made your game glitch. i took out all my mods that i knew would break with this update but i kept in my CC and i was completely fine, no glitches.
There is a new wallpaper with clouds but it does get lost in the rest of them. The baby changing table is locked behind a paywall unfortunately but are we surprised? Not really. I do like how they have the wispy baby hairs because all of my kids didn’t grow a full head until they were around 3 😅 The gameplay with the baby mat won’t be available until Growing Together releases same with the “milestones” of being able to teach them to lift their heads, walk Ect.
I would love to see you do an infant challenge. I will say I have eyelashes that work and some eyes that aren't default cc and they work fine. I just slowly put some of my cc in the game. Also there is a small mod out there that allows for the science baby to not just magically appear but to make the sim pregnant.

I bet they’ll do an sdx drop with one or two infant items (like a changing table or mat) whenever the new pack eventually goes on sale. The quirks and all the extra fluff seems like the infant Parenthood extension. I think Kijiko eyelashes tend to cause problems in CAS. I have them and can’t change eye color on toddlers (I havent updated yet) so it might be just those.
@@lvtori I haven’t updated my game yet and my CC eye colors were all working fine until I put in Kijiko’s eyelashes, for the first time, a few weeks ago. I wish I could find default replacement MM eyelashes. Or at least some that didn’t clip with other accessories ☹️
Maybe you could do a single mom or single dad story line. Like one of the parents dies and the other now has to take care of their infant alone. Maybe the mother or father was a stay at home caretaker and now they have to find a job. Like maybe use your home business mod so they can work from home and stay with their child
I know my cc (clothes and eyes) didn't effect the infants but my cc furniture did! The toddler crib by pandasama and then the cuddle mob by pancake is also broken
I know this is really late however it's the Panda Crib CC Mod that is causing the glitch for the baby being placed on the floor and dragging on the parents feet. Delete the Panda crib and it will be great.
Please make a video where you compare the amount of new new gameplay items in the sims 3 base game and expansions vs the sims 4 base game, expansions game packs and stuff. I have a feeling that even adding all the sims 3 packs together the sims 3's much less expansion packs will come out on top.
My favourite cc for males are trousers called energy pants .. can't think of the creator . And definitely need my lashes .. and make-up for the females
I am very disappointed that with the base update for the infant's that we did not get the baby back carrier thing nor did we get a changing table for the baby but we got everything else but oh well it was free
Infants are adorable with cute interactions, but there's zero development or goals without the pack. So since I've spent hundreds on the game and have sworn to not give EA another dime, I'll skip the life stage in most saves.
There is, you just can’t see them until you age them up. If you raise them well they’ll have the Top Notch Infant trait. I haven’t bought the pack, but when I aged up my first infant (with a cake-I don’t know if that makes a difference) after three sims days of play time, she got a Top Notch Infant trait. As a Toddler I’ve been getting notifications that she’s naturally more happy and trusting of other sims because of the Top Notch Infant trait.
I’ve seen deligracy use the infants while having mods on, and it seemed to work fine. Maybe it was just because one of yours was outdated or something.

If you have default eye replacement cc, they're broken with the new update. they'll look like this, occult eyes or blacked out eyes.
This happened to me as well. Broke my heart having to delete all of my custom eyes lol.

My Sim uses cloth diapers and it goes into the laundry basket. Love how they added the options!

Happily, mccc has a working update and UI cheats are working as well, i have both in.
Maybe you can do a challenge trying to take care six infants and each of them have one of the traits. That might be interesting.

I bet they’ll do an sdx drop with one or two infant items (like a changing table or mat) whenever the new pack eventually goes on sale. The quirks and all the extra fluff seems like the infant Parenthood extension.
I think Kijiko eyelashes tend to cause problems in CAS. I have them and can’t change eye color on toddlers (I havent updated yet) so it might be just those.
I'm pretty sure the eyelashes are fine (I didn't need to update them), it's more likely default eye colours

@@lvtori I haven’t updated my game yet and my CC eye colors were all working fine until I put in Kijiko’s eyelashes, for the first time, a few weeks ago.
I wish I could find default replacement MM eyelashes. Or at least some that didn’t clip with other accessories ☹️
your crib glitch was almost certainly because you had pandasama’s toddler crib in your game!

Maybe you could do a single mom or single dad story line. Like one of the parents dies and the other now has to take care of their infant alone. Maybe the mother or father was a stay at home caretaker and now they have to find a job. Like maybe use your home business mod so they can work from home and stay with their child
I know my cc (clothes and eyes) didn't effect the infants but my cc furniture did! The toddler crib by pandasama and then the cuddle mob by pancake is also broken

In America we call those strawberry marks as port-wine stains.
I know this is really late however it's the Panda Crib CC Mod that is causing the glitch for the baby being placed on the floor and dragging on the parents feet. Delete the Panda crib and it will be great.

Please make a video where you compare the amount of new new gameplay items in the sims 3 base game and expansions vs the sims 4 base game, expansions game packs and stuff. I have a feeling that even adding all the sims 3 packs together the sims 3's much less expansion packs will come out on top.

I am very disappointed that with the base update for the infant's that we did not get the baby back carrier thing nor did we get a changing table for the baby but we got everything else but oh well it was free

You don't have to redownload everything. You can just click and slide your mods folder to your desktop🙃. edit: I mean instead of deleting.
Infants are adorable with cute interactions, but there's zero development or goals without the pack. So since I've spent hundreds on the game and have sworn to not give EA another dime, I'll skip the life stage in most saves.
There is, you just can’t see them until you age them up. If you raise them well they’ll have the Top Notch Infant trait. I haven’t bought the pack, but when I aged up my first infant (with a cake-I don’t know if that makes a difference) after three sims days of play time, she got a Top Notch Infant trait. As a Toddler I’ve been getting notifications that she’s naturally more happy and trusting of other sims because of the Top Notch Infant trait.
I’ve seen deligracy use the infants while having mods on, and it seemed to work fine. Maybe it was just because one of yours was outdated or something.
