Great build Andy!, You turned out to be a good engineer and designer, it was funny to hear you say that you wanted the front plate to be able to be opened by a person, and also I imagined going to a hard left corner and tipping to its side because of the high and heave gun up there. But like you said is fiction an as long as it is fun, the in ok. Congratulations it ended up awesome! You just raised the bar for Luka.

Ok. I'm late watching this video. But this is exactly the kind of thing my infantry friends and I would joke about. "Let's take your (insert sports car model here) and mount a 50 Cal and turret to the roof!" This is awesome.
I like the way it turned out. was hoping for a bit of brown cammo as well. if available, flare and chaff dispensers would look cool on the sides

This reminds me of the little counters and miniatures that we used when we played "Car Wars" back in the 80s and early 90s. ADAA forever!
As for names, just to get things started, how about:
'HAVOC' or 'UAV - Urban Assault Vehicle'.
stick a couple jerry cans on the outside as well :D

For the name FORD FORTRESS. XLS/G
The XLS/G meaning Extra Large Shooter/Grenade
Or change the S to a C for Cannon.
You could also put an R infront of the X for Rapid.
Or skip the letters all together
this is a very cool project, you need to do that more often

Like the imagination that went into this, some great scratch building. Would do the weathering differently, technique was good but result nothing like what I've seen in a real desert. (Real Life experience) I would name this "UAV-L" (Urban Assault Vehicle-Light) If you ever do anouther car, my request is a Funny Car or Pro Mod drag racer.
do people modify the tamiya kits to have an engine bay?
there are some companies that produce interior kits with engines for some Tamiya kits

I loved this project! Now I really want to do my own post-apocaliptyc car! It's fun to see the Gouf hand as a grenade launcher.
I doubt that the car lights will be so clean, new and bright in a mad max movie!
