the other day i went to a pawn shop, they had a record section,i started browsing thru the albums ,reading the liner notes looking at the album art, for records from the 60s,70s,80s,90s,and i remember the days when i would spend hours in these record stores, times sure have changed and really not always for the better, guys like lee man they have given us so much great music,i feel kinda sorry for kids today but they have these tools today that we didnt like u tube still tho nothing beats getting that new album taking it home and studying every word on it and listening to new work by the artists
Hey Lee - So good to see you again! Wish I could have been a fly on the wall at those early sessions. Still love listening to you on my tracks and thanks for the birthday shout-out. Miss you!
If we're gonna mention drummers Mr. Sklar has worked/played with, Jeff Porcaro, Carlos Vega, Gadd, etc. With all due respect Russ Kunkle is out of their league.
I'm glad that these men are finally being recognised for the brilliant artists and creators that they are. Sadly, a lot of them died pennilessly since they weren't paid a cent after they got their session time check. The people at the top made all the money and the guys who made the music got the scraps that fell off the table. So sad.

Back in the 70s, I actively looked on albums for the names of the people on JT's and Linda Ronstadt's albums, knowing that if they were on it, it would be good music.
This was a great short and sweet interview
Carol Kaye rules!

Here’s some history, kids. Learn.
Leland and Russ an awesome part of sessions
+MarkO Polo Great session players. Their records with Jackson Browne etc. really stood out.

Wrong. This is not Bo Didley story, these guys made great money--sometimes a thousand a day, according to Half Blaine.
Not the men, the people.
There were more than enough incredibly skilled women among the so called wrecking crew.

FATHER TIME!
Think Sklar was in on some James Taylor albums, often wondered who he was.
2000+ albums
"Some"?
Had they credited them on every album they played on the buying public would stop buying. Period. --and this they well knew.

That is a wonderful beard. I suggest it receive its own zip code.
Bad sound & video work... sad, but no thumb up.
