This is the AAU Era of Basketball in its absolute worst. These guy's don't know how to play basketball. They all turn pro before they learn the mental side of the game. The talent for the U.S.A is still high but the basketball I.Q level is extremely poor. The NBA has allowed our guy's to be hidden because of poor officiating and favoritism.

Yep, that is spot on. NBA will need more and more international players and coaches to teach them basketball, because they are clearly not building the basketball IQ of their own young players.
Even previous USA teams with Kobe, bron, wade, Menlo (all ball dominant players) look more like a team and played like it then this current roster.

This is a potential Quarter-Finals match-up, so Pop has his work cut out for him. And in the Semis and Final there's gonna be Spain, Serbia and/or France, Greece.
It's not gonna be as easy as in the past decade or so for team USA for sure.
@Super G Well, nothing is for sure. It all depends on how things go in that grouping. There's also Lithuania on the mix, which always has a strong national team; Canada too.
One of them will play USA in the QFs, the other will face Greece. We'll see what happens.
@Super G Draw makes USA play either France or Australia in quarterfinal (maybe Germany, Canada or Lithuania, but I doubt they'll finish above one of those two)

International sport is about representing your country, the super rich NBA stars who did not show up only play for their self interest, not for the prestige of the USA - understandable to some extent, injury is a real possibility.
