The story revolves around the lives of Kashaf Murtaza and Zaroon Junaid. Kashaf, a young woman raised by a single mother, faces a lot of class and gender bias while growing up. However, her life turns around when she meets Zaroon in college. The drama then shows the ups and downs and trials and tribulations faced in every marriage in the most beautiful way!

The only thing bad that happened in this serial was kashaf rejected Osama and accepted Zaroon inspite of knowing his past records. She should have never married such a jerk, arrogant and flirt.
She just take some time to say yes to osama,but before shesays,osama declare hia marriage ,which show he is ok without kashaf and move on so quickly but zaroon still waited for her.

Her peer kamil novel is also one of best novel.mostly dramas with great moral stories also written by umera like alif,Meri zat Zara benishan ،shehr zat ,jannat se agy etc
Either the series shows zaroon's character development very poorly or his character was really hypocritical (a play boy who lectures his own mother and sister for their behaviours and also wants a to marry a "typical mashriki" wife after dating and outgoing girl for more than a decade) 😑😑😑

Zaroon aik uperclass larka dikhaya gia hay jis k agay larkiayan uski khobsoorti aur dolat ki waja sy marti hain is liay wo larkion ko haqeer samjhta hay lakin jab uska samna aik aisi larki sy hota hy jo k strong character ki hoti hay to phir uski transformation hoti hy.
Even though this show is my favourite, Zaroon's character was an asshole of top tier and somewhere the writer justified his assholery. Which is kinda sad.
Actually I think he was not black or white but shades of grey and I am not justifying his assholery but I believe that is what the writer shows..that you can after everything change and while it won't erase your past it will write your future
Sanam is brilliant in acting and dialogue delivery. Atleast better than cheap Bollywood heroines.
I wish, If Indo Pak had a good relationship then we would have enjoyed this kind of realistic drama more.

I don't understand Umera Ahmed,there was no need to make the character stoop so low...I expect her to write grey characters okay,but this was the lowest,and in this scene Zaroon slapped kashaf in novel ...Like seriously

Actually it was her initial novel, so it was written poorly. And the hero was actually from an upper class. At that time the upper class people especially man were supposed to behave like this. And yes he was a hypocrite and very weak character. I have also read the novel. In drama he has portrayed in a much positive light.
This drama has written after many years so she edited many things.

@@papionthefly7934 the book is actually quite short a lot of changes were made for the drama. And zaroon's character is even more toxic in the book.
