I asked you guys for your book recommendations and I picked up 16 new books to add to my TBR. I shopped at The Works, Waterstones and WHSmiths. Let me know which book you think I should read first?

You should read Kiss of Deception (Trilogy) before Dance of Thieves - otherwise you will get spoiled for some things that happen in the "original" trilogy (especially the love triangle). But I loved both series so much.😍Also, the City of Bones series is very entertaining and I have such fond memories of reading this series and if you don't take everything that happens too seriously you'll have an amazing time.😊 After watching this video I put so many books on my wishlist 🤣
a few people have said this so i think i will have to get cracking with it hehe!! I read for vibes so I never take anything too seriously, just love a fun story!!

I highly recommend Robin Hobb books . She has written lots of trilogies. The Farseer Trilogy is one of my favourites.

Oooh fire & blood! I've been reading it the past couple of weeks and enjoying it but it's so dense as it's written as a Targaryen history book so I've been needing little breaks. I feel like I could teach a class about all the Targaryens now hahah
you inspired me to go bookshopping today haha. i picked up children of anguish and anarch (new release for children of blood and bone trilogy) and heartless hunter/crimson moth!! i've been meaning to pick up city of bones! i'm just not ready for that whole world lol but i know it has to be good. excited to hear your thoughts!

For your witchy mood you should read The Crown of oaths & curses by J Bree. Imagine a combo of Manon & Diem from spark of the ever flame. It’s such a good romantasy!

Hey Emmy have you ever read l j Andrew’s books before, if not I HIGHLY recommend because her books I’ve heard are really good and she has two series one of the ever seas series with three books a fourth on the way and the broken kingdoms series where there’s 9 books in that series and it’s a completed series love you queen OBSESSED with your content❤

hi emmy!!! regarding the fire and blood the storyline of HotD only beggins oh chapter "Heirs of Dragon". The hole book his the history of house Targaryen conquering Westeros! only a small part its actually used on the tv series! hope it helps!!

I DNF'd and won't be finishing Serpent & Dove. I did enjoy the first book but the second book, for me, crashed and burned almost straight away
I'm so excited that you picked up shadowhunters!!! Those characters are literally everything!! There is though a certain order in which you have to read the books for it all to make sense...it is a bit confusing, but it's so worth it at the end!!
1, city of bones
2, city of ashes
3, city of glass
Those are all part of the first part of the mortal instruments, then you'll have to take a brake and read the infernal devices because the last three books in tmi spoil alot. So that is:
4, clockwork angel
5, clockwork prince
6, clockwork princess.
7, city of fallen angels
8, city of lost souls
Here you can take a break and read The Bane Chronicles because at the end we have story that takes place after a certain event but you can still not read it if you don't want to (even though alot of things will make sense later and you will understand more)
9, The Bane chronicles (optional)
10, city of heavenly fire
11, Tales from the shadowhunter academy
12, the red scrolls of magic
13, lady midnight
14, lord of shadows
15, queen of air and darkness
16, the lost book of the white
17, ghosts of the shadowmarket
(Here is another optional, if you loved the characters from TDA you can read secrets of blackthorn Hall which is free on tumblr)
18, chain of gold
19, chain of iron
20, chain of thorns
You can read it in publication order and avoid the short story collections if you want, but I deem them essential if you want to know more about the characters, their relationships, the story, their history etc...there are alot of ways to read this series but this one for me makes the most sense story wise.
I hope you found this helpful and you enjoy city of bones enough to continue with the rest of this universe because the later books get so much better.

The scarlet veil is actually in the same universe than serpent and dove so maybe is better to read the trilogy first
