Hi can you make a video with a step by step yo-yo release? Every y tube video taking about it never clear about how.
Ricardo I can sure as hell try. You’re 100% correct it’s crazy how so many people talk about it, but no one clearly shows how. So I will do the best I can to break it down, and explain it the best I can.
Why did you decide on 3 3/8 for the layout... isn't that too much flare?
That’s a really great question!! Yes that’s a lot of flare it’s actually max flare. I have been looking at a few layouts so this one was 70x3 3/8x 25 if I remember correctly. I wanted length, but I also wanted the ball to flare a ton. So I had issue with it at first as far as control. Then once I matched the surface the ball is amazing. Guess you’re wondering what I did to the surface? I changed the surface of the ball to 3000 and put factory compound on it technically making the surface to 4500. Now it stores a ton of energy, and the shape is really amazing.

Well to be honest I use a couple of different layouts. It’s really all about what you want your ball to do.

@jamesforsythe5838 I would definitely put a strong layout on it like I would urethane. However without seeing you throw the ball it’s hard to tell.

This ball is a lot different than what I expected it to be that’s for sure.
Can you compare to the spectre/ Revenant
Spectre is a banned ball so I don’t have one on hand. The Revenant is a solid control piece, but it doesn’t match up to the journey. Two balls doing two different things. However I will see if I can get my hands on one for you.
