Added safety with the weld in mounts and extra bolstered areas compared to the crunchy seat that was in there before. Win win and all done by SDfab. Fire 🔥
Good stuff good stuff. Love it man.
Appreciate it!
Nice work bro
Thanks Brodie 🤙🏼
Agree with you def look sick!!🔥
U made that look easy! Keep pushing
Super sick!
If only this was legal to do in New Zealand, Awesome work man
It’s not legal there? How come?
@@ChrisSadowski Not legal as you are not allowed to weld or modify the seat rails in anyway at all as part of the Warrant of fitness which is a 6 or 12 monthly check to ensure that your vehicle meets required safety standards to be on the road, and if found to be modified in any way that is not just bolt in or on at all then they say naughty naughty no Wof for you and you are not allowed to drive on the streets, In America it seems you can get away with so much.
Canada 🇨🇦 here...atta boy, rsx type s in mine...comfort baby, lol, enjoy!
Heck yeah lol
I wanted to do a tube subframe for the EF/EE Chassis. The wagons subframe tears too, I've had to weld mind up. It would be sick to get a run made for EE/EFs.
That would be cool but I don’t think most Honda guys would pay for the price tag a well made subframe would cost. Being made from most likely chromoly I couldn’t see it costing less than $2500 as a production item
@ChrisSadowski I do plan on trying to make one for the wagon. I picked up a spare rear subframe to make a jig. You think even a tubular style subframe would be crazy money to make? I've seen a few companies offer them for Datsuns, S13, S14 etc. Anything has to be better than the stamped steel we got! Lol
Honestly I'm more interested how your wheels turn so easy. My CRX I gotta put some muscle into it to turn the steering wheel and wheels off in at a standstill. Wonder if something is wrong with mine.
To be fair my shop floor is smooth, so that will make it way easier than on concrete or asphalt
Gona put some RSX seats in my em2. Damn junkyard i got them from broke off one of the mounting tabs but not a big deal cuz it wouldve needed to be modded anyways. So im just gona grind that one off and weld on either one from the stock seat or just fab a new one
There you go, RSX seats are comfy. I like them
Id love to do this to my wagon but one thing i noticed is that , the wagon has offset rails, meaning one side is higher than the other. This was a clever way of installing the seats but looks like ill just have to pan swap my wagon
I did some seats in a wagon before and I just made spacers on the lower side. Worked pretty well
@@ChrisSadowski hey chris thanks for the guidance. I took apart the seats realizing i can do what you just said. Im actually going to make the spacers for the lower side. Thanks again brother i really appreciate it.
No problem man, best of luck
Wouldn’t be easier if you just do the seat pan swap?
If the seat pan is a direct bolt up sure. But that wasn’t for me to find out.
Tried it. Doesnt work. Thats how we ended up here.
Hey Chris, do the seats sit higher than stock, or about the same?
It sits about the same, maybe even slightly lower. But that’s just off my general seating position. I couldn’t tell you exactly in inches
Thank you! Well if it was significantly higher, you would definitely know.
Thing is looking more like a track car. Seat alone should improve his lap time 😂. The original had some serious mileage
He somehow stayed in his old seat at the track and canyons. Blows my mind lol
Put rsx seats in my da.
Drop it off and bring me some 💸
@ChrisSadowski I've already did it. You seen it at one of the 2nd gen meets. Was a few years ago
The easy way ????????
It’s pretty darn easy. Takes minimal skills. And a cheap welder
