- We visited Parc Asterix on the 5th day of our Europe coaster trip, and were not disappointed! Parc Asterix is themed to the Asterix and Obelix comics, which are very popular with kids in France. It was amazing to be immersed into the very well themed park and experience the comics!

It's my favorite theme park. I love it so much. As you said at the end, you feel elsewhere. You really disconnect form outside because it's so different and colorful.
Asterix is not aimed form children, it's also for adults, without the usual 18+ themes, as many other "Franco-belge" comic books at the time.
Every named character is a play on word. It has been translate in 117 languages and dialects. It was the biggest selling comic book serie with 393 millions units sold. Today, there is only "One Piece" who outsold Asterix. (516 millions units sold -august 2022).
Goudurix (Goût du risque = risk's taste (literal) more like daredevil) is quite short but really good. Tonnerre 2 Zeus (Zeus' thunder) is my favorite. Menhir express is quirky, the safe place to avoid most of the water at the end is the second spot.
17:22 the thrash can said "(donnez-moi) Du papier" which translate to "(Give me) paper"
It seems the Styx was still closed. It's sad, I like that one too. (At the entrance, it's on the left, the water spot on the left of the carrousel) It was closed because of 2 deaths, they got out the buoy (10/12 persons buoy) and because of the water pumps and others currents there are spots where you can't go at the surface. If you stay sit, the ride is perfectly safe.
Also, you missed "Le grand splatch". It was my prefered ride before Tonnerre 2 zeus arrived.
I haven't done Toutatis (the s is not silent) and oziris.

Oh yeah Goudurix is a character in the comics, his name is a play (like all the characters' namrs) on "goût du risque" which means "love/taste for risk/danger" essentially a daredevil but ironically is a cowardly teenager scared shitless of vikings
love that you guys didn't complain about the roughness compared to every other vlog - think most people want every ride to be butter smooth.
I personally thought Tonnerre 2 Zeus was fantastic. Didn’t find it too rough at all. No, it wasn’t glass smooth but it doesn’t have to be. Everything on it was executed well, and it’s very enjoyable. My personal 2nd favorite in the park. Backwards was also a cherry on top
Good to hear - im heading back to this park in a weeks time as havent been on Toutatis yet, however think some youtubers over do the roughness at times - the more you ride the more you learn to brace etc.
