Maybe in your case: Go to Shenzhen, China, knock on Huawei's door, and ask for an interview. If Huawei accepts you, then you starts to fly from there. He worked for Huawei before.
I did this with the Vocord team at Huawei (computer vision division), but they already knew me for comparing the performance of my software and theirs to the results not in their favor. They hire coders for high level design of ready to use neural network programmers and don't seem to be interested in low level optimization at all. I can design more efficient solutions which not based on neural nets and can solve complex tasks. Curently i involved into design of optical navigation systems for UAVs in Russia. I found a whole spectre of interesting solutions for wide use tasks.

in the full length keynote presentation he said it was because he was a big fan of xavier renegade angel growing up and wanted the robots to look like him, even if it meant weaker compatibility with human biomechanical kinematics

其实不太理解为什么采用反关节的设计。如果只是从实用角度来看,机器人完全没有必要模拟人的形态。 之所以要模拟人的形态,是为了更便利的融入人的生活,比如说可以直接接替人类使用为人类设计的工具(如驾驶汽车)。。但是却单单搞了一个反关节的设计,感觉不伦不类。

为什么没必要,反正是模块化的,能大大提高通用性
便宜,另外识别精度,距离,识别,其实都能做,通用性极强。问题就是对算法要求高,按照目前模型发现水平看,都不是瓶颈
