We need to normalize going for therapy. The same way you go consult a doctor when you're sick physically, is the same way you should consult a therapist when you have experienced a negative shift emotionally or mentally. For a long time we have stigmatized something so important and we see the effects of the trauma especially in us SAn men.

I don't think what Maxwell is saying is necessarily negative. MacG is rather ignorant, while Sol is a bit knowledgeable and this is what makes the podcast work.

Therapy isn't just for people with problems but life lessons too.
By the way Psychiatrists are medical doctors & prescribe medications.
Psychologists focus on psychotherapy which helps with treating emotional and mental suffering in patients with behavioral intervention.

Therapy has saved a lot of people's lives and helps u carve a path to healing. I'd really recommend it to everyone. Just wish we had more black therapists so we can also support their businesses and have someone who better understands the black or POC experience.
Agreed coz white therapist can't help with black issues they can't relate to. You talk to them about black tax and all they'll say is why don't they get jobs🙉🤦🏾♀️🤣.

It's expensive though. I went to a Psychologist I paid 3k for 3 hrs.
After that 1 session I never went back

I lost my Mom when I was very Young and don't have a relationship with my dad , I'm successful but I still have that void and my relationships don't last ,I'm afraid to open up to women..I do need a psychologist , I self destruct with work and not deal with my feelings
