- Hi lovely crafters! In this video I show you how to make a mini accordion folder with a free printable kit again (see link below). Like with the Mini Folio, the Steampunk Clocks Booklet, the Haunted Secrets Booklet and the Celebration Week Booklet this is a perfect small project for an afternoon by yourself or with friends.

MATERIALS & TOOLS
You can make this folio with a minimum amount of tools, so excellent for the beginning crafter. You'll need:
The basics:
✂ The designs print on 160gsm / 60LB cover paper (or in that weight area)

✂ Scoring tool (empty pen)
✂ Ruler
For the circle/thread closure
✂ Brads

✂ Awl or Needle
✂ Scrap piece of cardstock/scrapbook paper

I can't tell you how much I look forward to these!!!! I was so excited to see the new video and free downloadables that I squealed and my husband thought I ran over the dog with my computer chair, lol. 😂 I'm not sure if you realize how much these free projects mean to people like me but I can assure you, every minute of creating these things brings me joy and if I make more to give to someone I love, I also get that great feeling of showing someone I care enough about them to use my time to create something just for them. I always give you credit and let them know the option of making the items themselves is there. And I mention the many other beautiful kits you have. I printed this out in many colors. All the favorite colors of a newly blended family. I am giving each family member their own folder and I am making a giant journal for the newlyweds so the whole family can keep the journal together. Thank you so much!

My supervisor has seen some of these and thought it would be fun to do these to give the moms a afternoon or evening to themselves.

I took me a couple tries because I cut some pieces wrong by taking off the white folding tabs lol. But I got it done and I love it! My first dive into paper crafting to learn bookbinding for making journals for myself. This was perfect to get my toes wet. Easy enough to not get discouraged and difficult enough challenge me. I feel as though I've been sitting and crafting with you for the last week. The pandemic almost destroyed our lives. And 99.9 % of all of my craft tools and supplies were ruined in storage, but things can be replaced, people cannot. And my heart truly goes out to everyone who lost friends and family during that terrible time. My computer was also damaged beyond repair, but, Etsy, bless them, had every digital kit I'd purchased except two. And my whole collection from YOU was saved. I purchased your large Christmas kit I think four years ago, and the smaller ones -- my fav is cutest Christmas ever for the small ones -- I haven't crafted for nearly two years. But we found the absolutely perfect house, and I've been preparing all summer to relaunch my little crafty channel, mainly because when we moved in, our hussy female cats, who could not be spayed during that time, on our third day here, escaped and there is no question who the baby kitten daddies are, and now we have a house full of fur balls, who are fun, but have to be rehomed, but I'm going to get them spayed and neutered and their shots before adoption, so I gotta sell journals, and your kits are divine. I purchased yesterday the botanist library, and watched the free tutorial on the butterfly one -- I screwed up, a little, and it still turned out great. And then I did this one. I hope you are so proud of that Christmas kit, because it is timeless and plays so well with others. I feel guilty I got it on sale because it contains so much. I feel grateful I was able to retrieve it from Etsy. I'm going to downsize this kit a bit and use your papers in your Christmas kits, and include the bits and pieces I have left over as an ephemera folder, with some blank tags, so people can make their own, like glue photos on them. I'm making a little just writing booklet so people who come to visit you, or you go to visit, can write a little note, about like what you want, as opposed to what you got, who came for dinner, who burned the rolls, or worse, the gravy is lumpy. I just turned 67 -- ugh -- but I am the happiest I have been in my life. I have several of your wonderful kits, and I even have a folder on the new computer (and backup hard drive) of just your things. Thank you so much for all the time and effort you put into all you do, for sharing your talent and gifts with us, and for the freebie kits. I can't believe how the cost of everything has escalated. Prior to the pandemic, a bottle of Aileens tacky glue was $1.25 for a large bottle. Now it's $7. But, I don't drink, and I'm too old to chase after men .. ha ... but it also taught me to quit hoarding the vintage laces, trims and fabrics -- we had torrential rains and snows, there was a leak, and it's really humid where I live, everythig was coated in mildew when we went to move it .... but we have our health, and such joy, and that matters the most. Tenne I love your kits. I fairly recently was watching other creators and a couple came up with a tip or trick. If you want beautiful corners when wrapping your front cover with paper when you trim off off the corners. What she/they did after a tip from some one,. When wrapping and trimming the corners what they did was when you trim off the 4 corners you just clipped flip them around and glue the corner bits so the 90 degree angle is now facing the corners and glue snuggly down before you fold down the sides of the papers and wrap it around. What this does is not only make the corner a little more strength but if the sides you fold over don't fit as nice as you thought at least the corner will look nice.

Lovely kit... Bit tricky to print out on A4 & get the backing to the edges, as my printer 🖨 wouldn't do borderless for me. It printed beautifully & was easy to assemble using this tutorial (I just watched & paused, watched & paused etc). I'm considering buying the template, so I can use different papers to have new looks. Very much appreciate this freebie, Tinne! Thank you for your generosity. I have purchased other products from you & they are high quality & standard. Will be a long-term customer! 💛💫🌟
I also print on A4 (without the borderless setting) and it worked out great for me (because I used that in the video ^^). You can always consider lowering the print percentage before printing.

This is my third small project and cannot wait to see it finished. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed while creating journals because it takes so much time; but these are very easy, and the designs are amazing!! Thank you so much for these little projects, I absolutely love them! ♥♥
