it feels real cause we have so many parent like his mom out there, who seems so proud of others and somehow it triggered their kids anxiety to the level of "how can i make them be proud of me more".. sad but it's reality, even sometime the parents were proud enough of the kids achievement but their act towards other's win biased their own kids mind.
Rightt, i can understand how Zo feels. I think a lot of asian moms do that, being so proud of other kids.
My mom is also a teacher like Zo's mom and they both r kinda similar, it's always the other kids, her students, not me 555 it brings me to the past watching this

nah but joongdunk being really really close in real life just gives extra extra marks for the chemistry in this series. the hug in zo's room before his mom comes in, nah we dont get that without such chemistry. the way theyre so comfortable with each other is truly >>> especially joong, he really looks so relaxed and laid back. in scenes with less dialogue and less intense we can see how relaxed dunk is too, hence some parts we can see adlibs that i think the directors choose to not cut out and let them be (like the scene zo biting joke's arm). some people saying the storyline is too cliche that they stop watching but i enjoy every episode that i look forward to every sunday to just relax and watch before another stressing week begins lol kudos to these two for so much improvements 👍🏼👏🏻
knowing that Joong is very clingy toward Dunk it makes me wonder if some of Joke's very affectionate qualities were inspired by that. Love them
IKR! They were just talking in low tones, hugging and giving cheek kisses, but Oh my, the tension that was building! That was such a romantic scene filled with so much chemistry. JoongDunk really are in their element when together. Hard to say if it was JokeZo or JoongDunk there 😅🥰
The fact that Zo is used to his mom’s behavior 6:17 that’s heartbreaking. He knows that his mom is way too much, that she is always pressuring him, that she doesn’t want to see herself as a failure 7:04 but he’s willing to be there and spend time with his parents, he’s willing to go through all that stress and anxiety she probably gives him, because he wants to be with her and he has been a great student in hopes he could have his mom back, thinking that making her feel proud 8:01 would somehow make her want to be close to him again, so what I feared is true, he is really pursuing what would make her proud and not really what he decided he would want for his life as if he’s living a life his mom would approve and not one he would love to live, which is why you can understand why he was lacking confidence when he had a crush on Nita. He couldn’t go for it, because that’s not the way he was supposed to live, choosing to go for something he would want to have, as he has been living pursuing something that his mom would love for him and second-guessing was part of him. He was one dimensional, one note character and he has been changing for good, adding colors to his life and falling in love made him feel so much better.

The first thing his mom said being “what did I do wrong?”, is a little too relatable. Like that actually hurt, especially when she continue to talk about how it hurt her.
My heart sank when she said what did i do wrong? The pain it made me feel is so personal. Whenever the child messes up something the parents pull up this sentence as if all the influence in shaping the child was them. They need to understand that your child is his own person too.
Exactly the point Zo was originally trying to make when his mother brought up that utterly awful debate topic and wouldn't let him say it was "not black and white." It's true, debaters have to take the Affirmative or Negative position, and there is no Maybe, but the topic has to allow for that clear dichotomy. ("Resolved: Netanyahu has overreacted in his response to the Hamas attack." "Resolved: Humanities majors should be phased out of university curriculums."). Consciously or subconsciously, she has chosen this topic to make Zo feel guilty again...and sadly, though not surprisingly, succeeded.
Some parents think of their children as extensions of themselves, as a second chance to succeed where they themselves felt they failed. This is the wrong attitude to take if you truly love your kids. Seems to me, a parent's job is to expose the child to many choices in life and then support and guide them in doing what the child defines as "their best" in whatever field they choose, while also loving them as a person, whatever choice they make. This is also the wrong attitude to take if you, the parent, love yourself. You're only feeding your own feelings of failure instead of recognizing where you have succeeded.
When Joke gave Zo a quick sniff on the cheek before hugging @ 3.15, MY HEART started racing. When it comes to acting with Dunk, everything Joong does looks, sounds and feels natural. I mean, does anyone else still remember how Joong cuddled Dunk in bed in one of the previous episodes? Hot damn!

They kiss very good. I remember Joong's first kiss with Nine and what it meant to him. He's an expert these days. Dunk is seriously one of the most beautiful men I've ever seen.

Some people say that this show is too cliche for them. Well this show is actually a breather, like a comfort zone where you dont feel triggered every episode. Its something i really look forward to every weekend. No toxicity just pure romance and love
The scene where Joke held Zo's hand to comfort him 7:17 reminded me of an interview were Joong gets emotional while talking about missing his dad and in this same way Dunk holds Joong's hand to comfort him 😭😭😭
as a daughter and an only child of a retired english teacher, i can totally relate to zo 😢 it's really not an easy journey because of the pressure, all eyes and ears on you because you're a child of a teacher; they expect you to do good and sometimes you'll be compared to others who have more achievements than you 🤧
It's so beautiful how Joke comes to his sweetheart in his hard time and gives him the support he needs. His father is also good but no one can understand Zo like Joke. And that peck on the kiss and handmade gift was so freaking cute. This is what love should be about.

Joong's first kiss with Dunk onscreen was a gentle touch on lips, a common type for highschoolers and students in their freshman year; Kluen Dao's first kiss happened in their freshman year. Joong was all red, blushing so hard, just by a little tease by Dunk at the filming set that time ♡ Now look at them on this series as Joke Zo! Really a mature version of Joong Dunk as they said. Oho~ Maybe because Kluen Dao from Star In My Mind are soft couple and P'New is the director with elegant style too, here while working with P'Tee on Hidden Agenda... Joong Dunk no longer holding back with their kisses. Joong Dunk also like a pro when they told us how they practicing their kisses together, with all the angles and upper lip lower lip taking turn ^-^
The kissing scene in the forest was too good😍😍 and the fact that both JoongDunk looking extremely handsome and pretty ❤❤❤

Joke is such a good listener...he never interferes while Zo's speaking and calmly listens to what he gotta say. I am also a good listener...to the point that many people including my family see me as a trash can to vent out their frustrations and bad things happening in life. No one ever asked me how I was doing or how was I holding up....no one wishes to know what I am going through. I just wish if I ever get a soulmate in future, that person is willing to listen to my thoughts and feelings.
Who all are thinking that Trin and Wave dated in the past but broke up due to some misunderstanding? Me definitely.

I'm so gald Joke is there for Zo. Its not easy seeing parent rave about others and feeling like you don't matter the same way. That type of comparison, weather indirect as in this case or direct (as in my mom comparing me to my cousin growing up) does leave a negative impact on that parent-child relationship. Speaking from some experience I've learnt for the most part to let go of the criticism that comes from both my parents, though sometimes it still gets to me. I do still talk to one of them but its all a bit superficial. I'm very glad to have my own bf in my life that listens and helps like Joke is helping Zo...

I feel for Zo. I understand how he feels 100%. I know what it's like to have a teacher as a mother. All the pressure they lay on you without even realizing it. My mom is also a teacher as the expectations she has are unbearable. There's me and my sister but since I am the oldest she's harder on me. She always says "It will look bad for me as a teacher if my own kids aren't excelling at school." Then she talks of how good I am doing in school to her other staff members. I literally can't make any grade lower than a 90%. When I do get lower like in 80's she starts nagging and nagging, and blame it on everything around me claiming them as distractions. Sometimes when I do get a grade between 90-99 she just bluntly says "You could do better than this." Like it's only 100% that will keep her off my back, but no one is perfect, especially not me. It's really hard and sometimes I feel like I'm walking on eggshells around her. But I can't tell her how I feel. It's been like this ever since so like him, I'm used to it. I love her, and understand that a reason she does this is because she just wants the best for me. But sometimes it's too much pressure.
