  • Take a look at the Springfield XD-S 4.0 9mm. Should you consider carrying it today with all the other compact pistols available? Let’s take it to the range and see!

Even though there are many options with higher capacity, I keep coming back to the xds. Great firearm .

I just got one a few weeks ago, and even though I have a few options that's been my edc as of late. Love it!

They're fun to shoot and really accurate, I could go toe to toe with my friend's 1911 no problems. Grip safety is a nice feature to prevent a misfire on quickdraw combined with the trigger safety. Some people don't like that in case they have to limp wrist the gun but honestly it's really hard to do that, and that's why you practice with it. I think the people who drill the grip safety down are silly, there's other guns that are similar without one. The main reason to get one of these is the grip safety instead of a manual safety, basically. Plus 4" barrel is fantastic in this size range, better odds of hitting a more distant target. This gun shoots like a full sized pistol but the thin profile gives you options and the weight allows minimal recoil. Somehow I shoot this gun best one-handed.

I have one in the S&W 40 and after about 100 rounds the grip safety starts digging into my hand and hurts

Talon grips or Powder River Precision grips will solve that
