I knew a young man at a coffee shop with this condition. He used to get yelled at by customers and complained about. Where he couldn’t smile, many misunderstood that he was being sarcastic or a smart*ss.
Luckily, he had an amazing young lady for a manager who took it upon herself to raise awareness for his condition. He wore a very nice pin that informed customers that he had the condition. The cafe made it their mission to raise awareness and raise money for research. The same customers who were angry in the past, personally apologized to him and continue to visit the cafe.
Sometimes we have to stop and realize that we are all different and perhaps our abilities and ways to communicate are different from others.
She is so strong ,smart and beautiful. Her personality is so inspiring
Why are people so cruel. It's hard enough having a disability without people going out of their way to make your life even worse.

People who bully individuals with this medical condition should get a taste of their own medicine for their own actions and see how they would like it.
These individuals don’t deserve to have their confidence and self-esteem knocked down by other idiotic a**holes.
Tayla and Austin are so inspirational. This video just made me realise again how much I have to be grateful for. May God bless these lovely people and help us all to always be grateful.

Tayla's mum needs to keep it together. She's modelling to her daughter that not being able to smile is something to cry about, even now years later. That's depressing for Tayla to see. Tayla is not crying. Catch up mum and be her cheerleader! Put a positive spin on it like Tayla has.
It’s hard to get it together. You tend to blame yourself. You feel like you did something wrong when pregnant. I completely see why she gets upset. I hate to say I would probably do the same. I get upset very easily.

any sort of deformity or illness is so difficult. Fortunately, she's born in a relatively well off family, so that they can support her surgeries etc.

I understand illness I have one where most people think it's my fault. But this illness is so much more than not smiling and I don't think it's positive to apply I can't smile as a way for cure
Most people can't smile.
Because life is hard and then having illness plus no support of family and I'm not negating her struggles I'm saying smiling is a rare thing everywhere.

Thta last young man has a really expressive voice, and I'm so glad he found music as an outlet! Hearing of the young woman being being bullied here in NZ like that is so gutting because you can see her expressions in her eyes, and the pain of being mocked and bullied for being different never really leaves you. I found the kiss upsetting. I think the hardest part for me would be not being able to kiss someone or have them kiss me back.

it is so heartbreaking to hear how those kids treated her in school, i wish i went to school with her so i could he her friend , she's a wonderful beautiful person. respect people the way you want to be respected.
There’s actually a surgery that they can do I’m not 100% sure of it but they attach a muscle that used to do some thing else so it’s de activate this one muscle that’s not meant for smiling but it kind of looks like a smile

You don't just use your mouth to smile. You use your eyes. When you smile, even if you cover your mouth, your eyes sparkle and show happiness so you don't need to look like everyone else to smile. I think this lady is pretty and I am happy she didn't let this keep her down and powered through it.
