I was adopted but the story of Bernadette Of France has always been fascinating to me. I was brought up in the Protestant faith but my husband was Catholic and we attended both churches. She was an amazing girl and was treated terribly by the town, the priest, and the Order of nuns she entered. Just because she saw Mary Mother of Jesus. Then to suffer from illness depression and a tumor on her knee. Finally Tuberculosis ends her life. She worked so hard and brought her childlike stories to the children making them happy.. All those who worked for God seem to be filled with persecution and suffering .. It happens for some reason and Jesus’ message was love one another..

For me the story and dialogue is most appealing in a good movie. I love what the Reverend Mother said to Bernadette near the end of the film as she (Reverend Mother) left for hospital. Having apologised for perhaps being somewhat strict towards Bernadette she concludes by saying, “One is clumsy when one loves someone”. What a beautiful story. THANKS.
I love how open the movie with Bernadette's phrases:"God speaks to the heart without noise of word" and "nothing, I always said the true and we are faithful to that true, even though sometimes it is inverosimilar"I loved that there is a movie about Bernadette's life as a nun, after the apparitions, she never returned to Lourdes. I love the scene in which she tells her story to the orphans. It was very sad when she received the news of her parents' deaths, but I liked it when she was reunited with her brother before she died... I am very moved always her last words: "I have seen her again, she is beautiful, Mother pray for my poor sinner, I am thirsty, it is true I am like he".. I believe that now she must be enjoying that bliss promised by Our Lady with her in Heaven, after her sufferings on earth 39:40, 44:40, 1:15:27
your life is falling apart since you ask the wrong person. the bible tells us NOT to pray ot anyone else than Jesus. He has all authority. We do not even know if Bernadette is in heaven or hell, only God knows. Jesus can heal our life and bring back all the pieces together.

It is Lent right now and I am watching religious films as we did as children. Our parents didn't let us watch TV much until around Easter and we got to watch religious films. The actress is appealingly lovely and does a good job. I enjoyed it.

Her innocence is more than d brightness of many people. Her innocence made her perfect in describing Mary who gave her d power to heal illnesses. Her smile alone in her face cure illnesses because Our Lady listens to her prayer so that the sick maybe well again. Our Lady, Mother Mary is seen in her smiling face. She looks so poised with confidence.
How kind and loving is the Lord to those who are good! How kind is our mother Mary to love the children of God. Those who fear and Love the Lord, seek to be sinless! It takes a lot of humility to live a life that St Bernadette have lived as a nun. The nuns/superiors in the convent can be cruel or envious especially if they didn't like the other nun. It is a special test of humility and holiness to sustain all the trials inside the convent
I think the priests could be the same too with one another. Human nature and our sinful nature. Interesting some of the nuns looked down on those who were lower class and uneducated while they were educated and higher born socially. Not much as changed.
Pray for priests as well as the nuns. Church today needs to follow the first canon law of Pope Pius. Stick with one...stop changing it to suit their modernist lives.

Mary mother of Jesus was born Jewish and died Jewish and she had other children so she didn’t stay a virgin .
